A relationship where the other person played me like a fiddle and wasn't serious about staying together. I still don't know how much of it was real and how much was lies, lust or outright bs. I wish I had seen the signs and I wish I got over him faster. He didn't deserve so much of my heart. At one point he had all of it. :(

"Luv" can be a tough game, yes.

That I remember what happened 50 years ago......but can’t remember what happened 5 years ago.

I wasted my life, sort of.

Thinking a bit deeper, I'd say I regret going to uni. That was one step too far for my abilities. If I had gone from high school directly into the workforce, I'd be where I am now, but 10 years younger. That would've been swell.

Not focusing on doing what I was told to do back when I was doing my first ph.d. in Michigan. Consequently, a lot of faculty gave up on me so I didn't have the kind of guidence I could have had, which probably resulted on my career going downhill ever since.

No. And I won’t be disclosing details here or anywhere. If you knew what I won’t share, you’d understand. Let’s just leave it at that.

Not having taken the environment and health seriously enough. Those two issues determine my future—maybe health more than environment because one individual doesn’t have a huge impact but still, both are going to affect whether I steal my own future!

Ultimately I don't have regrets because the consequences of the bad experiences eventually lead to good things that wouldn't have otherwise happened

Two of my biggest regrets are not standing up to my father sooner and not moving far away from him sooner.

I heard this a long time ago; "When you are lying on death's bed it is not so much the things that you did that you regret, it is what you didn't say or do that you regret." I have many of those.
