I tried exercise once . . . I didn't like it.

(LOL)

I try to work exercise into my day - like when I go to work I park as far from the building as I can and still be in the lot - I take the stairs instead of the elevator - that kind of thing.

This kind of fell apart when COVID-19 happened and I have been work-from-home for over a year now.

I had a subscription / membership at the local Gym / YMCA for a year once - I think I went once or twice - It really wasn't my thing - the only part I used was the indoor track and only for walking. The people using exercise equipment in the glass room with the bright colors just didn't attract me, but did trigger my social anxiety.

I know someone who had a very active lifestyle and who worked in construction - so "fitness" was called "work" - this guy built his own house and had a huge piece of land which he tended to himself. He told me a story about a friend of his who had the same kind of lifestyle who used to sit on his porch and yell at joggers things like "do some work you idiot!".

So - I guess not "everyone" is into "fitness". It can be part of a healthy and happy life though. It has never been my "bag" to do as a "thing".

I like walking and seeing things like the sky and the trees - a trail in the woods is especially nice.

I think this video has some useful advice for all of us, not just weight lifters:

My sister's husband's brother is named Ian. I came up with "The IAN Diet" the letters of his name stand for "Increased Activity and Nutrition!". It's a joke. Everyone knows the best way to improve your health if you are overweight is to eat less and move more.

Some diets are crazy. Someone at USNews thinks these are not:

https://health.usnews.com/best-diet/bes ... ting-diets

My only rule in life is "eat good food and food that I like". I sometimes eat too much "bad stuff" and then I want to be nice to myself by eating more "good stuff".

Your Mileage May Vary
