Yes...but he's also my husband. I need more than one friend, with different perspectives and interests. I think it's a bit dangerous only having one friend...what if they die? I don't want to be a lonely widow.

Been there , you have my complete sympathy.I had a wisdom tooth crack somehow and the pain was intense.Sort of like an ice pick starting at back of jaw and going up to brain.Nothing phased the pain.Sheer agony till I got to the dentist.
I wanted to beat my head into the wall the pain was so bad, usually pain doesn’t bother me ,but a tooth is a whole different thing.

Poor you. I know what you mean. The pain is right there in your head and you can't get away from it. Unlike when it's in your foot or arm or something.

Most women I know say that having their children wasn't as bad as tooth pain and going to the dentist. :?

So I went to the dentist, he said the filling was a bit high, whatever that means, and drilled to relieve some pressure on the teeth which are a bit crowded.

He couldn't find any external things wrong with the tooth/teeth so hopefully this will calm it down.

I'm glad you didn't need a root canal! Did they take x-rays? I felt for sure that you might need a root canal. But you didn't---and that's great!

I know how bad tooth pain can be. There were times when I used to just wander around places when I had tooth pain.

Hm...well it's still painful but not as bad as it was. I might end up going back to the dentist in 2 weeks :?

I'm really surprised they didn't take x-rays.

X-rays would have been done here as a matter of routine.

Normally they do but they had recent X rays so they used those. They'd also just X-rayed my daughter so maybe they couldn't do another one. I dunno.

I still feel like new x-rays should have been taken. Things can change pretty rapidly when it comes to teeth and gums.

:( Sorry that tooth is still bothering you. Hopefully things can get figured out and taken care of sooner than later. Though really, it would be even better if the thing just stopped hurting. Glad it's hurting less though.

Well the tooth news of the day:

It didn't really improve for the first 5 days, I was getting very fed up. But today I have felt a slight improvement. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your support everyone. I feel less alone with WP friends encouraging me, I don't have any real life friends and probably never will.
