You just might reach 50 while assuming that you will croak before you’re 50 :)

What’s your usual a1c?

Same here, fatty liver but with me it's alcohol. I'm 51 but I doubt I'll make 55 the way I'm going. good luck, I hope you get on top of it My dad got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 10 years ago and he's 80 now and healthy so there is hope..

I don't remember the exact number but the last time I went to the doctor (which was the second time since I was diagnosed) he said my a1c was in the pre-diabetic phase, but before then it was diabetic.

So i was able to bring it down but I'm nervous because i really have not been eating healthy like i should since then. But today I have another appointment with my doctor so I guess I'll soon find out if my a1c is still in the pre-diabetic phase.

Pre-diabetes is still much better than diabetes.

The fact that you were able to go from diabetes down to pre-diabetes is a good sign.

That's better than me! I've been at 5.6/5.7 for a long time now.

You're not even pre-diabetic any longer.

I also lost 8 pounds so my effort to lose weight and get down to a healthier size seems to be working. I do feel a lot better now at least in regards to my health. :)

I'm still worried about the future of the US though. Not to mention the rest of the world. It's hard not to be in that regard. :|
