I don't get jealous seeing people make out, cause well, I'm not attracted to post-pubescent girls, so that would be like getting jealous seeing two guys making out, why would I be jealous of a guy with a boyfriend? I don't want a boyfriend. But besides that, it only kinda annoys me, cause I just think 2 people making out is gross, all the physical contact and stuff, it makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it, and a little angry watching it. I'd like to punch them both in the face really hard, but I just ignore it instead.

I don't know why it bothers ppl so much. You don't have to look. One time at the Renaissance Fair my bf and me where kissing and I saw this guy staring at us with this horrible look on his face.

It dampens my mood a little bit when I see PDAs it because it's a reminder that I'm not getting them. I try not to let it show, though.

I just had something worse. This is true, I am not making this up.

I just got back from brushing my teeth. I was looking in the mirror while brushing and the door to be bathroom opened and a naked guy walked in followed by a non naked girl. They both walked into the shower very close to where I was, they obviously enjoyed being exhibitionists. They closed the curtain and she started to throw her clothes over the shower curtain, her panties actually hit me while I finished brushing.

In retrospect I should have taken her clothes and put them somewhere else so that she would have to walk through the male wing nekkid.

That goes above and beyond PDA. I'm guessing they were possibly drunk. Definitely inconsiderate, if they really wanted to use a shower they could have been at the least a little more courteous (like not pegging you with clothing, accidentally or otherwise) if not a little bit more discreet.

It doesn't make me jealous, but I do get uncomfortable.

Sometimes it makes me feel all like "awe how sweet", sometimes it makes me envious.

Ya, I was at a bowling ally when me and my new girlfriend at the time were bowling and someone I did not like from my high school days was their, saw me and her sitting their minding our own buisness and thought it was time to show us up, i was hardly impressed and ignored the stupidity, I dont need to grope and maul the one I love.

Yes, that is SO immature. Makes both people look overly needy and uncertain. And with no class, whatsoever.

I'm amazed at how many people are warping this into something done intentionally to upset them. Its not. Its done because your so head over heels in love with the person that its hard not to touch them, even when you've been together all weekend. It has nothing whatsoever to do with observers

You'll find that out when you discover true "young love."

You're making some assumptions here.

1. Yes, sometimes people PDA just because they are so in love. That doesn't mean that every PDA falls under that category, there are some people do blatant PDAs just because they enjoy being watched. I don't think it's because they want to upset us as much as they are attention whores, though. It's not like that everytime but it does happen.

2. Not all of us will ever discover true "young love," whatever true "young love" is.

However one could safely assume that 99.5% of all PDA's fall into that category. As opposed to the 100% they are just doing it to show me up reasons given by the vast majority of this thread.

I never assumed that anyone would. However, i did phrase my post in the standard usage of the English language when describing something that would happen to most people.

i've been in many relationships but its only my most recent that can be considered true love, and we are definately at the young stages of it. As I posted before we were definately into excessive cuddle mood in front of his parents in their hotel room. That had nothing whatsoever to do with his parents. We didn't have our legs and arms wrapped around each other to rub it in the face of them or show we were in love. Same as when I was gently kissing him on the forehead in the backseat of their car, or when we were cuddling and whispering sweet messages to each other in the theatre. I knew at the time it wasn't something quite appropriate to be doing in front of his parents but I love him too much to let go and we wouldn't be seeing each other in the upcoming weeks. Its not anything that we wouldn't have also been doing had we been alone.

That's all done because we are in love with each other. So much so that sometimes all you see is the other person, not the 50 or so around you. It doesn't matter if we've just spent the past 4 days with each other - its difficult, if not impossible to let go. That's what most people are feeling when engaging in PDA. They're in love, and are acting like it. The typical person will never see anyone making out just to show them up. For one thing, that insults the people making out just as much as it would the people around them, and most people are too aware of that and too mature to engage in such an activity

I once caught two people actually having sex in a park.

It didn't bother me, but I averted my gaze and left quickly in case I upset them.
