agreed. also, i sometimes feel like i don't belong to part of a group. i have this feeling that they won't accept me or something.

From about 2 weeks ago until the end of the year, they're constant. One or two per week.

And no, I don't get any better with practice.

Depending on where I'm sitting etc, usually I try to sneak out at some point. Pretend we have a computer problems (the "blackberry in quiet mode" excuse).

The hardest part about having AS for me is people trying to force me to "loosen up," assuming I'll then have fun in social situations instead of understanding that those situations are mental and physical torture for me.

I don't specifically have Asperger's, but I do have Autism Spectrum Disorder, so...

Inability to become independant and self-reliant. :cry:

I hate being such an incurable burden on others...

Not being able, however hard I try, to grasp what a person or group expects from me in order to respect me / like me.

It's like being expectations-blind. It results in all the problems mentioned in all the posts before this one.
