Start eating a lot of beans so that you fart prolifically in this woman's presence. Or just imagine the disgusted look on her face if you farted if you're afraid actually farting in her presence. Either one should make you feel better.

You shouldn't go around calling things ret*d on this forum. What the hell is the matter with you? At least I didn't suggest punching her or making a court case over a stupid comment.

Come up with some witty retort. One of those that will leave her stuck for an answer. Huh? Incredibly witty.

If I were a witty person I would help you there. :(

I agree. It's pretty insulting, but it's not bad though to take too seriously. So I think the best thing is to give a witty (but not rude, as she's your boss) remark to make her remark sound weird and uncalled for, basically stuck for an answer.

Why did she say that? Does she think/know you're an Emo? Or is she being unsympathetic to you getting accidents at work?

No, it was referred to self-harm.

I don't know. I have used plenty of bandaids in the past (mostly to hide the cuts) and I've never directly told her that I cut, so I don't know.

Ordinary stupid people topic

The harm comment was how I interpreted it. Very insensitive.
