Hanwag - I have posted quite a few photos of me on this forum, so you might have seen my photo. A little attention does go a long way, I'm feeling better already :)

Darling - That is one cool avatar 8) I'm quite ambivalent about my looks, some days I think I'm ugly and some days beautiful.

Darling (hmmm, it is somewhat weird calling someone I don't know that :)), you are right about the ugly thing. The only person I'd use that name for is probably me. Well, and maybe some people with bad personalities as well. I try to see good things about most people, but sometimes :).

yup, he's hawt  Ulquiorra Schiffer =]

ah same here. sometimes i think 'damn, could look better but meh' and feel all hopeless but thankfully, most of the time i think i look fairly nice in my own way. sometimes being experimental can bring cool effects too, leik, i haven't been to a hairdresser's for 5 years because i like doing my own hair. it makes me think i don't look 'typical'. hmm @_@

gotta go! night!! ! *hugs to all*

To be honest I can just remember thinking 'hey, that is not like the avatar :)' but not much else. On the other had that is not so weird because I can't even conjure the face of my best friend in my mind. A lot of the things she said come immediately though.

Is your name for the singer btw?

Goodnight, Darling :)

I would never have any guts to call someone other than myself ugly. I always try to see the good in other people too. Yes I am named after Nico the singer

A very nice voice :). Her albums after the first 3 were a little bombastic for me however.

Nico's work with The Velvet Underground is the work I'm most familiar with. I agree she does have a nice voice :)

I also listen to Chelsea Girl quite a lot (a song from that album was on a compilation I made for someone special once). I like the Marble Index and Desert Shore as well, but only in a special mood (what mood else for a song called 'janitor of lunacy). The VU is ofcourse the best album she was on, but my favourite there is Heroin where she is not singing (I bought the banana album after once hearing that on the radio, I went to the record store the next day).

The Velvet Underground & Nico is one of my favourite albums. I love 'All Tomorrow's Parties', which Nico sings on beautifully.

Ofcourse that is the second best on the album (that, or Sunday Morning, or the Black Angels Death Song), but Heroin still stands out for me :). Moe Tuckers drums give it an extra dimension. Funny really, because she can't drum technically speaking. The whole album is among my favourite 50 of all time to be sure, but how high depends on the mood ;). Are you intrigued by the livestory of Nico as well or just the voice?

I like Moe Tucker's drumming, it stands out for me too.
I am intrigued by Nico's music, her life story and her appearance (I think she was very beautiful).

To me her looks again are more intriguing than beautiful as such, but more like a impressive person than as a beauty. A bit like Nick Drake (who also worked with Cale btw), who is even more impressive, even in looks, though I do not fancy man at all. Plain feminine beauty is somehow different to me.
On the lifestyle I am double. The dark side of life pulls me but on the other hand I am too plain and sober for it (Joni Mitchell sang 'I'm frightened by the devil, but I'm drawn to those that ain't afraid'; even though fear is not the right word). I believe I remember she had a daughter (not sure, I don't know every singers bio) and because of that there is something very wrong with being pulled into madness. On the other hand, who just said he liked the song Heroin? Double that is...

Thanks ebec11, you're a good friend :)

I like Joni Mitchell, "I wish I have a river I could skate away on" at times

'The last time I saw Richard'... ultimate anthem for someone who is not sure he's romantic or really a cynical observer :).
