I'd like to know where some of you live. Where I come from, it is mostly dominated by rap and drug addicts galore, hooligans on the loose and well, it's not a very nice place.

But then again, for a place where you can meet any nationality in the town centre and also be the place of riots, I should not be surprised.

Rich, hi!

I don't ever recall meeting you, but it's nice to meet you even though I haven't seen you around here in so long! I see that you haven't made that many posts here.

Here in America, yes, we have a lot of rap music fans and drug addicts but it is hard to believe you have some where you are because I would have thought that British people are more reserved.

By the way, I was thinking of Vernon Kay when I made my last point.

This is where the problem lies. The majority of true British are reserved. It is largely the immigrants and their descendants from the past twenty to thirty years (and still on going) that are the main culprits, although of course we do have our own small trouble with a thing called "Chavs" (wannabe drug gangster rappers and fail miserably at everything).

I live in the North East of Manchester, just outside a place called Oldham. A few years ago Oldham was witness to a very large riot between whites and asian immigrants from the middle east. It has happened before, and will happen again in the next few years as tensions reach their climatic points again.

I see.

It is much different now than it was 30 years ago.

same here, my town is full of them and they dont care what they do to anyone yesterday at school i had this group of chavs as they are nicknamed, patronising me and one of my freinds because we like different things to them and have long hair, they decided to throw pinecones and shove sticks in our hair because we are "moshers" as they call us if it was my choice i'd blame the parents because of the way they have been brought up and who influences them, in my town it is mainly rap, and the many parents that sit at home all day because they have no job, and just rely on child benefits

Manchester? Wow, I'm surprised!

Is it any wonder that Vernon Kay is from there?

He isn't from Manchester, he's from Bolton.

That's part of Greater Manchester, Paul, and that doesn't mean I necessarily have it but do most people have that stereotype about people from Manchester?
