update on weee!! !

very rainy and windy. streets deserted for miles around. a person can be found every half mile or so. every 10 min. i hear the sound of a car passing by on another street. earlier there was somebody going around the streets with microphone warning people to go inside. i naturally started to run around in circles, ate a potato, and continued running up and down street(camera in hand, of course.)

70 to 90 mile per hour winds are expected in new orleans if the hurricane continues it's course.
eye seems to be forming again. hurricane is seen going west toward texas.

mayor, governor, and some other important guy says that anybody who stays is crazy. i've always been crazy so i guess i'm extra crazy now! woo hoo hoo hoo!
any person in the new orleans area caught off their property will be put in angola prison. this is strictly to prevent looters.

will most likely lose power tommorow. may slightly lose mind from lack of wping.

The mayor actually said anyone caught looting will be put into angola prison into general population. Apparently, they do not want a repeat of what happened to New Orleans jail during Katrina.

I think you coonasses would have been safer if you had stayed out in the swamps. The alligators were less dangerous than the government.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

Just to be clear:

Coonass is the Louisiana term for cajun.

Well I lived, but the city is in trouble. They are now saying three weeks without power.

The grid went down twelve hours before the first wind, just in time to wheel the power to California for 7 PM on Sunday, Labor Day weekend, peak power rates, they are making so much they do not want to give it back.

After three days in the dark I left, just as 300,000 were coming in. Being below sea level, we pump our sewer up, and without power, the system does not work. So now, no power, water, sewer.

As people left they emptied the gas stations, then bumper to bumper for twelve hours to get out of the city, then they emptied the next ring of gas, and the next. Many cannot find gas to get back, and are in a car with kids. If they get back, no power, water, flushing.

Evacuating 1.9 million people does not work without gas, food, water, money. We are being made very poor and uncomfortable.

Somehow it seems to be our fault.

We were above sea level, we did not build under water. Then fifty years ago they started pumping oil and gas from beneath, and now parts of the city are 23 foot below sea level. The same happened to Galveston Texas. The coast is sinking, just as fast as oil and gas are being pumped out.

It seems we are interfering with the oil business, and we could have an accident, or several.

Homeland Security is for the protection of oil companies.

I am 60 miles away, but most have no where to go but home.

Flooded by water, now by sewer, they have a plan.

Terrorists have launched a biological warfare program on New Orleans.

They call themselves FEMA.

I'm glad you two made it through the storm safely.

I'm glad you have power, Tinky. :)

Back in town, faced with Gitmo, Entergy changed their mind, some of us can have power.

Like Enron and Worldcom, "Would you like your books audited by the IRS", works wonders.

Energy can be neither created or destroyed, it can be sold to California. Such rude questions we ask!

These things can be hard on us, some shoeless girl was seen dancing naked in the streets begging passerbys for ice.

I have submitted designs to the National Guard, the Humvee is quite suitable for conversion to a roving Sushi Bar, snowball stand, and walk through, Frozen concoction that helps me hang on, line.

They held parades all over, and did not throw a single strand of beads?
