I think about it nearly all the time these days...nothing severly major but I did have a few certain very suicidal periods.

I've gone as far as to make a noose, set it up, and put it around my neck but I've been too cowardly to actually take the leap off the stool I was on. I don't think it would've worked anyway. And I've tried suffocating myself with a plastic bag once but that was a more uncomfortable impatience form of doing it and I wasn't doing it all that well to begin with.

I dont like attempting suicide by cutting or pills because that wouldn't be so effective for me. First of all, cutting myself would be messy and too unoriginal. Second, I hate having feelings of nausea or a nasty taste in my mouth I know I would get from the pills and chemicals before the poison kicks in. I have very sensitive taste buds so that form of suicide would never work for me.

And then there are the usual days where I just want to get a gun you know...I wont go anymore into that. I always wanted to own or least use a gun but then again I know that I should be the last person on earth to own one.

I ocassionally test my mortality with cocktails of drugs or general poisons, though I use a rudimentary knowledge of physiology and toxicology to make it so I stay alive by the end of it. Enough dead feeling to feel alive again afterward.

I tried attempts with OTC meds (Nyquil and such) and cutting my wrist/carotid artery (couldn't cut deep enough.) The major one I took like 60 of my blood pressure pills and some anti-depressant and stomach meds. That got me in intensive care. Interestingly, the times I tried OD'ing on Nyquil the next night 2 beers wiped me out.

Thankfully OTC meds won't kill you, that's why they're OTC. It's pretty difficult for a person to kill themselves using a blade, at least not by slow blood loss alone. Interestingly enough if you beat your liver it doesn't function as well for the next while.

OTC meds can kill you - there were news stories about how many people die OD'in on Tylenol every year - many accidental because they don't realize how many OTC meds contain tylenol.
