Probably a 4. My day today went reasonably well, I got tons of great books from the library, I finally had a doctor's appointment about my acid reflux, and I watched the latest episode of "Glee." Not an amazing day, but not horrible, either.

Hang in there Firebird, Samtoo et.al. Icecream cones for everybody.

About a 4, which is kind of the norm for me. It doesn't seem like I get thrilled about anything anymore.

Considering going back to school yet again, despite not having good up-to-date references anymore and being too old to continue to mess with education. I just find the current job to be dull and unrewarding. Wish I was organized and outgoing enough to do my own thing.

I've picked up the worst cold I've had in years. Baby germs. I hope it's not flu.

Hope you feel better soon. Lots of rest and liquids! Also, if you're an animal-eater, chicken soup. I got sick a couple of weeks ago, made myself some homemade chicken soup, and it was the briefest illness I've ever had. Miracle cure? Useless anecdote? You decide.

As for the question, I've been hovering around a 4.

Happy but stressed. That would be 9 for finishing my course after a year of severe illness and fatigue and a real fear that I would never get to the end of it and completely stressed out after an intense study of period of six weeks, I suppose that would be a low number, no idea what stress counts as though.

Currently celebrating with wine, crisps, various kind of nuts and olives, and, someone else is doing the housework, now that is a 10 :D

Thanks Kaybee! I do feel a bit better after languishing in bed all day. I don't think we've got any chicken soup, but I am resting and liquidising myself.

Aw, I hope you feel better soon, Moog. Kaybee, you reminded me of when I had pneumonia. They had me on all this medication and I felt terrible. It was like living in a sick haze for about a month and the only respite I had was e few minutes of comfort after my grandpa's chicken soup.

-3 Went in to schedule an interview and he said, "why not do it now?" I didn't have a portfolio prepared, employer said it was okay and said I could email him a newsletter layout and a press release, I've never written a press release so I'm trying to figure that out and if i can't I won't get the internship and I won't graduate, hating my body again, tired of getting strung along and stood up by guys, cried for 2 hours straight when I got back to the room, getting flack for expressing my sorrow on WP and I want everything to stop.

That's fantastic, Kaleido! Congratulations! It's always great to hear when things are going well for someone. ^_^ I hope your health is improving, too, or will do soon.

Moog: Glad to hear it! Though it sounds like you ought to keep someone who likes to cook around for just such emergencies.

happymusic: It's sounding increasingly like "miracle cure" to me. I'll have to test this theory further next time I or someone I know grows ill.

And for the question: Still 4. Maybe 5.

 I'd love to 'keep someone who likes to cook around for emergencies'. Any offers?

I read that chicken soup has an anti-inflammatory action. Which is why it makes you feel better. But I would think that the inflammation was there for a reason? Maybe recovery would slow down. Like I believe that inhibiting fever probably isn't a great idea. The body knows what it's doing.

Anyway, I am nearly all better! My snot is solidifying, headache gone, weakness gone. Throat slightly inflamed, but not painful.

Being too ill to sit at the computer much means I actually read some book for a change! Silver linings.

And thank you, happymusic :-):-)

-1. I need a new self esteem boost-me-up. Ruining any feminine looks I had just isn't cutting it no more. Didn't stop me from buying a cheap hair clipper set from Big W tonight though.
