...Some people are 40 years older than you and WENT TO SCHOOL BEFORE people were taught computers! :x They may have cobbed together hunt & peck & how to click " Send " and " Post " - very little beyond that!!.
He might had s low social status :( , it being rare for him to have large sums of money, bad health, and an unstable life? And then, when he.tried to improve his knowledge level, someone like you jumps all over him :cry  .
You are -18? - Presuming that you are not an orphan, you lived with your parents for many years, may still now? There were always computers in your home, yes? You were probably taught computer basic at an early age, elementary school at the very latesa, with some basic kids: computer of your very own? None of this is the case with me. But you jump on me, you super keweiuullllll Geteratik. Z-er, you :P But you dump on me for not knowing everything already :( .

I never took any computer classes. What I know comes from being on the internet the same as you and most everyone else here. No magic skills no special knowledge and severe learning disabilities. I type 12 words a minute using two fingers. That's when I'm not on my little budget phone. I have spent my entire life as a mentally and physically disabled invalid who spends most of his time in his room. And soon I will be moving myself into another small room in a nursing home somewhere.

I wasn't taught much at school, most people never were, all I ever got was "hit start and click the big 'e'" (this was Windows XP in 2005), everything else I taught myself. I used to pride myself on being computer illiterate, When I was 13, decided to learn, I'm no expert, but if I screw something up(doesn't happen as much anymore) I can dig myself back out. Learning to fix vintage Television sets is harder, despite it being a special interest. Here is a video I made fixing a 1986 Gold Star color set, this is far harder to do than to operate a smartphone.

So ASS-P are you once again suggesting that someone on this forum should give you computer lessons? When you can take lessons for free from an actual instructor at any public library. There's a ton of stuff available to you that you come up with all kinds of reasons for not taking advantage of. You've been given a ton of viable resources by many members here over the years, especially by redrobin who's also been homeless, apparently none of which you have ever made any use of. Which is your business. But I'm not sure how sorry we're supposed to feel for you over it.

I for one will be a little more generous. ASS-P, my email address is [email protected]. If you have any specific technical questions you want answered, write me.

Nice of you, but I believe that's been offered before. He has said that he needs someone to physically sit beside him and show him how to use tech. He doesn't seem to know what kind of tech. Just that there is tech and he wants to be shown how to use it.

Sounds about right... in that case your library proposal is likely better.

My offer does still stand, though.

I might hit you up some day. But so far the only tech thing I've ever needed was installing a readyboost. Found a good video on it.

I would be glad to help. Just mention who you are in the e-mail title so I don't assume spam. Same goes to you, ASS-P, just replace the A in your name so it isn't directed to spam automatically.

...I realize that it will all but certainly not come from anyone here, but yes, I cod use help in improving my tech skills . I pointed out these things about my health and pain, social status, and transportation...and, furthermore, I am REALLY, REALLY, clumsy and non-;mechanical and would need more HL in getting muscle memory down that a liky computer teacher would be patient with :( I. getting the muscle memory down....just as some people blame me for not having been blessed with a " Skinky dinky dee! Again, you've been typing these posts for over a decade, isn't that muscle memory by now? Regarding your high school records, Didn't RedRobin62 do all the footwork of calling the school and having them look them up and prepare them? All you had to do was to call the school and have them send them over to the college that you were hoping to attend..

Ever heard of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, A-P? Of course not, you never had the opportunity to go to a four year college and there is NO freely available information on the Internet. So let me school you. Before you can learn all about tech or interact with the skinky dinky dee people holding back your high school transcripts, you need your "basic needs" met. And those basic needs are:

1. Food

2. Shelter

3. Clothing

In your case, since you have chronic illnesses, I would add a fourth:

4. Medicine.

Satisfy those first, and then worry about other stuff. A basic need is NOT leaving your facility at will or being spared from eating bologna sandwiches. A basic need is NOT having someone sit down with you and teach you tech. Nobody has mentioned this, but if you are incontinent or even just not showering regularly, frankly I would not want to sit down with you at all. (Cruel!! ! Rich entitled b***h who has never had to do anything hard!! ! Rape!! !)

People tell you to meet your basic needs and offer good advice how to do that, and you change the subject and start mocking or insulting them. Fine, you are just hastening your own death and increasing your misery before that happens. You are committing slow suicide, and rejecting any assistance offered. Boo. Hoo. Hoo.
