Emo doesn't really exist. The term Emo was given to a few hardcore bands (The Rites of Spring etc), it stood for emotive hardcore, which is stupid, because all music is emotive. The bands then didn't like the name, so I don't understand why bands now would actually want to use the name?
Emo today is just a stupid trend that doesn't stand for anything. It is a trend, that in my opinion will go away in the near future as it doesn't have any true foundations.
