Don't laugh, unles you need to.
I was very out of condition, gained a lot of weight and all that. Started getting back into it and I was running on an indoor track that's kinda small, I think 16 laps to the mile, 12, something like that. So tight turns. Well I am a big guy, 6' about 250 at the time I think. I was sprinting all out and one one of the turns I felt this snap in my kneee and instantly knew something was really wrong. By the time I stopped running the last few steps it was swollen, bruised and looked weird.
Oh, not laughing. Running injuries are serious things.
For one thing, I HATE tracks. They are good for short workouts to up your sprinting abilities, but not for anything longer than 2 miles. *shudders* That sounds awful. I've been pretty dang lucky. Been in cross-country/track for 4 years and a marathon, and the longest I was out was a 8 days (used to be a week, but I got pretty sick over break). Anyways, that's horrifying. Will you ever be able to run again?
