I have neuropathy in my feet and legs. I've been going to a gym for 18 months now. My legs are wasting away and the idea is to replace the muscles in my legs faster than they disappear. I've been doing all cv work, rower, bike and elliptical. One hour, three times a week.. the results have been spectacular.

... and I eat less.

I agree, but the thing is that the terms "abuse" and "abuser" are simply wrong words to use here. If someone repeatedly hurts someone unintentionally, I wouldn't call them an abuser, but what they're doing is still wrong and needs to be stopped. A person who hurts others needs to take responsibility even if they didn't mean any harm. Is that what you're trying to say, Fnord?
Uhh … I am Fnord. He's Kraftiekortie.

Yes, if person A unintentionally hurts person B, then Person A needs to be informed of the fact so that Person A has the opportunity to change his or her behavior.

But if a person has been told time and time again what he or she needs to do in order to solve his or her problems, and that person refuses to do it, then that person has chosen to continue experiencing their problems, and their problems become fully their responsibility to solve.

If you get neuropathy with a treadmill, and not an elliptical, then it's not wrong to use an elliptical instead of a treadmill.

My mother and her ex-husband hired a personal trainer for me before I stopped going to the gym but she was not a good one. Even when the neuropathy was kicking in and my feet felt like they were on fire (This was before I realized what neuropathy was), she made me keep running. She also shoved her religious beliefs down my throat and pressured me to go back to church. Not surprisingly, she was married to a steroid pumping redneck.

Who said you did it wrong? My fitness instructor says, "If you're breathing and you're moving, you're doing it right." Granted, that's for a senior citizens class, but you can still take it as your personal motto! I say good for you, kid, you went and you worked out. ("kid" not meant as a put-down... just me being elderly)

What is the cause of your neuropathy?

I know. I was trying to explain to kraftiekortie what I thought you meant and the last line was to check if I understood you correctly. Maybe I made it a bit unclear.

My younger brother told me he thought ellipticals weren't what I needed to do, a co-worker expressed similar sentiments, I've seen someone say it's a waste of time, and when I did research on them, the view of them tends to be negative.

It's caused by being pre-diabetic.

My other detractor who is like a conservative Fnord claims psychology is "evil". He also thinks if you aren't a Christian, you are going straight to Hell.

Prediabetes doesn’t cause neuropathy. Actual diabetes does.

I don't know that much about pre-diabetes, but just in case kraftie is right and you have advanced to full diabetes, have you seen a doctor about it? (This is the reason, aside from nosiness, I asked the cause of the neuropathy.)

You have GOT to stop paying any heed to your "detractors." They don't deserve your attention! And if they post derogatory stuff in your thread, report 'em.

Brother Mark, if you keep feeling insecure, you are not going to move forward in your life.

Ignore those who love giving you a hard time because you don't need them in your life.

Marknis, I am going through the same problems you are going through okay. I just happen to hide it more. Don't worry about who you are. It may take some time for you to accept yourself and not worry so much, but you will get there some day alright. Sly's problems I am going through as well.

Thanks but it’s impossible as I’m inloveable. Nothing but a sad lonely miserable life ahead of me.

You keep saying you won't post in my thread anymore but you keep doing it. You also claimed you had no energy for me but you just replied to me.

Stroking my ego? Wrong. I know who I am and that isn't what I am seeking.

No, you are just a very judgmental and inconsistent person, especially when you claimed I've never tried to give anyone here support and you can't stand by your words.
