I understand Magz. About the dreams and whatnot. I just don't like to think about it.

What can I say Pepe it is intresting to hear, watch, and read stuff like that.

Im not sure if you heard about Dr Kevorkian, he proposed euthanasia of terminally ill ppl who went through such pain and had no treatment.

There is a movie about this person and how he secretly did such things and he would listen to the ppls stories and their families or close ones and decide if he was going to put them out of their misery; at one time he was met with a depressed person, but he denied him. He said depression can be cured, and that he cannot do it for him because he can still regain his life back.

8O That sounds interesting to watch.

Its a wonderful movie imo, but he did it illegally. I think killing people would not be an easy task to do though, because of its implications and the theory of changing their minds. There were some patients who did while he was doing it.

The people he assisted were all *terminally* ill, I believe.

Dreams prepare the mind for bad events, or they come when the subconscious senses that you've been stressed. Freud also said they may hide desires.

It could be preparing you for stressful events. Maybe something in your life changed before it, or was going to change with you knowing.

It shouldn't be desires 8O

Humanity isn't as evolved as it would to like to be, just turn on the news.

There neocortex is just one part of the brain that influences out thinking. We also have the more primitive "reptilian brain" to contend with.

We can't stop these more animalistic instinctual thoughts. It is more a case of managing them, so it is silly to feeling guilty if they pop up, from time to time.
I have them too, and I am brilliantly evolved.

Haha maybe someone slightly upset you.

Now if you dream of kissing someone.. xD maybe it's more accurate

A high amount of what we dream we don't remember when waking up. The process is beneficial to the brain and it wipes some buildup, and in that process who knows how memories are turned around.

Agreed.
R.E.M. sleep is a mechanism to sort out emotional issues/conflicts/desires.

Yes Pepe, I would say wanting to torture thing is pretty animalistic or a job.

It hasn't been established if there *was* a desire to "torture stuff".
It could have been a feeling of guilt because of perceived emotional pain inflicted. 8)

Why do people put dogs down?
Because they are in pain and suffering.
Why can't people be "put down"?
"inhumane" "that is messed up" "we aren't animals"

We do put humans down, it's called capital punishment.

When we put adults with intellectual impairments down or those with dementia or a mental illness who have committed violent crimes, we are basically putting them down like wild animals because they are too dangerous. That is what we do with animals when they have been traumatized so they lash out at people and attack. Or if they get old and get dementia as well and start to attack, we put them down.

When elderlies get dementia and start to get violent, they get put on medication to keep them calm so they won't lash out. They do not get put down like wild animals.

We do allow terminal ill patients here in Oregon to have euthanasia. I do think more countries and US states should allow it. I only think this should apply to those who have a terminal illness, not those who have depression or going through a hard time because they lost their family or their partner or their job or lost everything they had.

Well, this complicates things.

Now that you have cut down on your caffeine intake, are your mood-swings better or worse?
