I had a good visit to the run down 21x21 shack that my sister and father live in. Her sweet dog, Alexis the fluffy one, is very old with arthritis. I gave her some exorcise, brushed her amazingly soft fur, and hugged and petted her plenty before leaving. I might not get to see her again, because her hind legs will make her so unhappy someday. A few times I took her outside, she fell down and I could hear a furry, dusty like ‘plop’ when she would fall down in the dirt. I even had to lift her butt over the doorsill a few times, because the poor thing couldn’t climb over it.
I brought back some branch tea leafs. There is some kind of native bush with green branches growing out of woody ones. Big bush, and after the rains they had, I noticed that these tea branches were abundant, so I of course brought back a few to drink and boil. I walked six miles, and discovered that it’s a proper walking distance for my feet.
My trip from Fort Stockton, Texas was interesting, as I drove through the dark eastward, seeing deer after deer for miles grazing on the grass right at the right side of the highway. The first one nearly scared the life out of me, because she was almost going to dart into my headlights. Yikes. I greedily brought four boxes of my sister’s artful pottery work, and my mother’s new computer. Now I have her old one to myself, and possibly soon I can play with house designs galore from a program I got long ago that doesn’t work on this one of mine that I am typing in. I'll put it on Mother's former computer, so it will still be used.
