I was starting to feel hopeful because I'd applied to two jobs the day before yesterday, both of which seem similar to the one and only job I've ever had (not the most enjoyable thing, but doable for me). Yesterday I got a call from one of them, but I took half a second too long to work up the courage to actually answer the phone, so I tried to call back, multiple times, but immediately got something about the person I was calling not having set up a voicemail yet each time. I was kind of hoping they'd call again today, but they didn't. I really hope I haven't missed that opportunity just because of my dang phone phobia

Perfectly balanced by two situations today.

1.) I'm infuriated by the homeless kid I've bent over backwards to help who was completely disrespectful of my help and time today & spent his day harassing my sister for handouts instead of accepting the help he and his girlfriend truly needed.

2.) I've been chatting with a cute blonde who wants to meet this evening, so, if that happens I'll be feeling pretty good about my day by the end of it. Even the back and forth chat is rather mood lifting and just what I needed after being mistreated so horribly by someone I've gone way above and beyond to help out.

Normally I'd have rated that date a ~5.5, being being fit & blonde instantly adds a couple points.

i reorganized, cleaned, and moved stuff into my room which is now 20% cooler and that makes me happy. i like having my own little sanctuary.

I found a loose slot machine at a casino about 35 miles from where I live. "Loose" means it pays out more frequently than average slot machines. This is problematic because, in a casino, there are cameras everywhere and security must have already noticed how, for the past week, I've won on the same machine. I think it'll only be a matter of time before they remove the machine. In that case, I'd better milk it till that fateful day comes.

Between an app I left open overnight when I fell asleep, email, and text messages I woke up to about a dozen offers of casual sex today. Makes one feel rather attractive when that happens. Then when I was out grocery shopping some middle aged woman does a double take and says "How did you get so good looking?" I just smiled & laughed on my way to my car. But still.

My grandmother isn’t doing well and could pass away any day. She is 96 years old, after all. My mother is visiting now & I plan on visiting tmw with at least one of my brothers, possibly our mother and others. She’s been in rough shape before, but this time seems a lot more probable that she may be very near the end of her life.

At least we live close and have advanced notice that her health is deteriorating and the ability to change priorities and go visit.

I recently released my 8th book on Amazon. I admit, though, that I haven't been publicizing or promoting it because I've noticed that the promotions I've done in the past for my other books barely got them sold on Amazon and it was money ill-spent. I'll have to find a new way, like public speaking at libraries and bookstores. As an aspie, that's tough for me to commit to, but I guess nothing try nothing done.

I am a 4.5 I believe.

It would have been higher if it were not for being awoken during my nap.
I haven't got much to complain about really.

-5. Pretty sure I did miss that job opportunity by just being half a second too late answering the phone, and haven't heard anything back from the other job I applied to. Serves me right, I guess, for getting my hopes up even to the point that I thought I might get both jobs and be able to support myself on them Looking for more jobs to apply for, and gosh, there are so very many that I can't possibly do for one reason or another, it really gets me down, especially when I can't find a single one to apply for.
