Halloween gets me down these days. Why, when I love just about all things strange and sinister? It just makes me feel more alone and isolated, is why, I think. I never have any reason to go out or dress up, so I end up sitting alone in my room watching horror movies, which is a year-round occurance for me anyway, not even a special Halloween thing. Last year I'd started to make a costume from scratch for no reason other than I wanted to, but now, my tremor is too bad to do the detail work that's left - and I can't even ask anyone else to do it for me, because said details were just going to be whatever felt right as I was making them, not a specific design or anything. And even if I could finish my costume and even if it turned out amazingly well, I suspect no one would know what I was supposed to be (a Cenobite from Hellraiser, but one I created myself instead of one from the movies).

I feel your pain, dragonsanddemons. I am not in college and I don't have many friends so I don't get invited to Halloween parties. I just stay at home all alone. Even if I went trick or treating, I would be all alone and people would already be in company with each other so I wouldn't be able to join in.

For the people that feel awful, down and depressed, a Kitty hug:

It's been cold and rainy in my area these days. I always feel down during these times.

Even though I don't know you very well, I've read many of your posts of you wanting to something drastic to yourself because of your feelings of depression and anxiety.

Please do not give in to such feelings. You are a good person and if you do something drastic to yourself, people who look down upon you will see it as a victory for themselves.

I don't want my enemies and detractors to celebrate. That is partly why I haven't committed suicide but the struggles I go through daily still overwhelm me. People tell me not to be desperate for a girlfriend and while I know my rumination doesn't help, it still doesn't change the fact I am alone throughout the day.
