If somebody attacked a person I loved very much I would do whatever it takes to make sure they didn't get away with it. If the law didn't give them a proper punishment I would take matters into my own hands. I never let go of a grudge against people who have wronged me or my family.

Who says only women can hold onto anger forever?

You know, speaking as somebody who actually has attempted to kill himself twice...

Ah forget it, I ain't opening that can of worms. But I would never threaten to kill myself on a message board over something as insignificant as politics. I have plenty of legit reasons to want to die, and if I really wanted to die I would do so quietly without telling anybody that I was planning to do it just like I did before.

That's all I want to say.

-2. unhappy that folks are vengeful. the best revenge is living well. violent folks need to be locked up for public safety. wishing violence on them, though, when having been abused is likely a big part of why they are the way they are is unwise.

i have been beaten and sexually assaulted. at first, i fantasized about killing my abuser. i got over it. recently, i anonymously sent him information that could save his life. not to say i'm never angry when a memory pops up and not to say i'd ever put myself in a position where he could assault me again, but, generally, on good days, i love him from a safe distance. resentments are never on sale. you always pay full price. resentments are like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Had a great bonfire on the beach tonight, helping my dad renovate a relative’s basement tmw morning, invited to a film industry masquerade soirée tmw night at my cousin’s place. House sitting from Sunday on, so house to myself for a few months. Feels like a pretty good weekend, so I give right now a solid 8.

Just hooked up with a cute young redhead that ghosted me a few months ago. Feels like a proper conquest.

I am about a 0 today which is better than yesterday and the day before.

I can feel myself improving and recovering in tiny increments.

Perhaps I will be well enough to go to my own birthday lunch next week - fingers crossed.
