A solid 6, hoping I'll be an 8 by my dinner date.

5.

There are many decisions weighing on my mind. To buy or not to buy a Nintendo Switch? To join or not to join a dramatic club that would involve using trains for over an hour late at night? Should I wear my derby shoes to the next college art class, or is that overly formal?

My two cents' worth:
My nephew and his friends like Switch. I vote yes to the derby shoes 8)

Thanks Isabella  I can't wait to see if I feel differently in the shoes. I've always been more one to wear comfortable shoes rather than stylish. However since I get a lift home from the class and I live a mile from the college I don't have to walk too much.

You just reached 1000 posts, so congratulations!
I think it's nice that you're aware of feeling differently in different shoes! I think they'd be very classy for ... class! 8)

My older brother is outshining me once again.

I've really hated this year. I turned 30 without getting a girlfriend, I still struggle socially (Why do I even bother? If you didn't meet certain milestones in your developmental years, why would adulthood change anything?), I still suck at the things I wish I was better at, and my body is aging prematurely.

I am pre-diabetic, my back aches sometimes, I have carpal tunnel, hand shakes crush my hands, my energy level is bad, and my muscles don't respond to exercise so I am very underdeveloped physiologically.

I'm feeling a 5 today. Today is my birthday so I'm happy but my anxiety levels feel high, I have work later and a dreaded meeting. I could get fired. Not looking forward to work. On a brighter side I'll be seeing my family later so that's nice.

I'm sorry to hear you have prediabetes. On a positive note though, if you're pre-diabetic that means you're only borderline which means Type 2 Diabetes can be avoided right? Have you got a plan worked out with your GP?
