I hate my department leads.
I feel anxious just talking to any other employee even about work stuff cause if I stop working for two seconds to answer them or ask them something the leads jump on me and they aren’t like this with anyone else . No they nice to them and spend 15 mins or more just chatting with them . They do t even talk to me besides jumping on me if I’m not doing something for 2 seconds. Just spent hour straight on a project and stop to catch my breath and they jump mee. I go in every day and work my ass off and get treated like s**t. I’m starting to wonder if their targeting me cause my disabilities.
Spot still hasn’t opened yet in gun library but i dont know how much more I can take of this s**t, the fear and anxiety I might just quit and file qncomplaint for hostile workplace with government
At this point it’s making my disability worse and undone the whole reason for me to work in first place.
Wish some corporate would come in and jump the leads shot they don’t do s**t but stand around talking all day and jumping me

it does sound like they're bullying you because you're autistic.

Before making the jump to accusing them of discriminating against you for disabilities, make sure and do a little self assessment based on their feedback and determine if you are:

A) Focused and on task vs getting distracted or taking unscheduled breaks.

B) Productive - as in getting enough work done in the time you’re expected to get it done in.

Sometimes management complaints are valid and an opportunity for us to reflect on how we’re doing & then make improvements as needed.

he already said he does more work than other people that don't get criticized. it's clearly discrimination.

He’s also said that he cannot walk for 40 minutes at once because he’s that out of shape, so it’s possible that he isn’t as efficient at getting things done as he may think he is. He may be tired/fatigued and feel like he’s gotten more work done than he has simply because he’s not in good physical condition.

Also, us on the spectrum w/ executive functioning issues often have a fluctuating perception of time & pace. Maybe he works quickly sometimes, and slow at other times, and doesn’t really notice when he’s slipping. I know I’ve been guilty of this, especially in the past. These days it happens mostly due to sleep deprivation.

Anyways, productivity is pretty easily measured and compared in most jobs. If sly’s expected to process at least 10 widgets per hour and he consistently does 10-12, and the odd time slips to 9, we’ll, whatever he’d be doing just fine. But if he’s supposed to do at least 10 and barely manages 7, well, that would indicate a speed or focus problem. If there are several people who do the same tasks, compare how much you get done to them and make it a goal never to be the slowest. Etc.

Only sly can measure/count what he accomplishes and compare it to others or the targets/quotas set by his managers and know whether or not he’s staying on task and getting things done or if he’s been slipping and his managers have raised a valid concern. If the latter, just be mindful and keep busy working and things tend to improve just by making a conscious effort to focus on being on task and moving quickly.

I wish people would give Sly a little more of a "benefit of the doubt."

Maybe he works slow. Maybe he doesn't. We are not there to see.

I don't sense that he dogs it, though. I feel like it's possible that the supervisors get on his butt because of his "disabled" status.

I've had people try to get on my butt for the same reason. Yet, I proved them wrong!

And maybe they do it because sly's an easy target to get a rise out of/make fun of etc. NT's often pick on the neurodiverse for this simple reason. It's kind of an extension of grade school bullying, but it just carries on into the workplace and social world.

All I'm suggesting is that first sly does a quick self assessment to be sure his productivity is acceptable before he goes ahead with accusing anyone of discrimination. It is possible that they're becoming irritated with his lack of productivity and that's why they ride him - and he may not be aware that he's been off task or inefficient. If his work is just fine & they're just being as*holes, well then, sly would have a valid complaint and could consider raising the issue with HR or upper management.

I wish Sly could get a job at a gun shop or something....he really knows his guns.

Also, as a "side hustle," he could maybe make minor repairs on peoples' cars.

I feel like Sly had a hard day at work.

What I feel he should do is read up on something that really gives him pleasure.

That's the second time; have you develop any sort of "friendly feeling" for this person?

lol no - there are many I’ve hooked up with multiple times.

I haven’t had “friendly feelings,” for anyone since my last major crush a couple years or so ago. He and I keep in touch and are friends, which is pretty awesome because he truly is a wonderful boy. Plus I <3 hearing him sing. 8)

2: When you sign up for work on a certain day when you expect to be working a different job by then. When you desire to work a different job by then.

Something about having practised defeatism for sssooo long that it becomes a part of your neuroautomaticity and 'withdrawal' from it can make you 'queasy' ..one reason why depression and anxiety prevails as a 'comfort zones'. F--- risks if it means no promise or guarantee of an outcome in an environment which is important to go through but so deeply unpleasant..a consistent anti-thesis to the '..what do I have to lose' attitude and something neuronormatives don't takes into account anymore than how casually swearing becomes a stupider part of neuroautomaticity for some.
