The rest of the day was better. Spent it with my best friend and the only sad part was going home.

-10 I’m tired of being ganged up on by the leftest here. I’m not rightist so they don’t do anything to help me.

6 or 7? I'm a little hungry... and I'm nervous as I'll be going to an apartment showing for the first time today. Not that I can buy one yet, but this one is nearby so I thought I could practice a little so that I wouldn't be so anxious when I'll actually start looking for real.

In what context? I wouldn't expect people who disagree with you to help you make your case during ideological discussions, they have their own case to make. If your case and framing doesn't support the positions anyone else has laid out, it's unlikely that individuals from either side will see a benefit in supporting your points. Generally speaking, when you see things in orange and blue, trying to explain to people who see in black and white why they're wrong will be a tiring experience.

If I saw two wp people gaining up on a liberal member I would join in and bash them too. It’s called kindness and compassion.
People here are no different then high school bullies.

You wouldn't join in on the side that's not as strong simply because they're weaker, you'd join in on the side you agree on - just like you consistently do on here. It's called integrity and consistency.

It would be unfair for anyone on here to expect you to take a pro-gun control stance just because in one hypothetical argument that side isn't being argued very well - I would expect you to continue to espouse the position you feel is correct, because that's what you sincerely believe is right. Political arguments aren't like competitive sports where the competition is the goal, so ensuring the teams are balanced defeats the purpose, sometimes one position consistently makes a better case and their opponents will repeatedly appear to have lost. Inferior ideas should lose support over time, if they weren't inferior better arguments for them would exist.

Cause when it’s 2-3 people ganging up on someone and one joins in that’s same thing. Probably why argument and debates don’t allow such things and require people take turns. It’s why pro gun control people refuse to go to a chat with 10 pro gun people and be banged up on. But as your one of them I don’t Epect such compassion from you. In those types of threads you tend to get multiple responses because more than one person has a reply and wishes to share their perspective. It's not intentional, malicious ganging up on, it's that their arguments reinforce each other because their perspectives are similar. Regardless of left wing vs. right wing concepts, that's bound to happen when many people agree.

I'm not attacking you by suggesting that if your ideas can't stand up to scrutiny they might be wrong. I think we'd both agree wrong ideas are inferior to correct ones. That's why I said to 'get better arguments', if you're really arguing for the superior position it should be able to be articulated eventually in some way. People aren't doing that to cause you emotional distress, just like when you and people you agree with post those views, it's not just to upset me or people I agree with.

When we disagree I don't disagree with you to antagonize you or because I dislike you. When we disagree it's because we disagree. We're two f*****g ret*ds arguing on the interwebz because we disagree and because for whatever reason we were both given a lovely set of cards to deal with in life and as a result are miserable and unfulfilled. When we disagree on something please don't let it ruin your life. Neither of us has the ability to impose our ideals on the other, nor do we possess the means to impose them upon society. Even when I don't sympathize with you on issues, I empathize with you in terms of your general circumstances because although we have differing perspectives, neither of us chose to be f****d up, we're just stuck dealing with it.

What happens is they mock me then another comes in and joins in on mocking me.
Though guess that means they can’t argue cause when you mock, slander or insult someone it’s cause you can’t argue against them.

Nothing wrong being a liberal democrat even if I don’t like them much. It’s norm for people from New York City too. Trumps a liberal democrat. I don’t think for a second he’s changed. Posters should try to refrain being insulting; snark and condescension are common by posters here regardless of their views. We should all refrain from making personal attacks, both because they fail to advance one's case but also because they don't belong in civil discussions. That said, when someone objects strongly to something you say, they're allowed to address it without it being a personal attack, especially if it's something they feel mischaracterizes the concern.

Incorrect ideas are less valuable. If you tell a kid chocolate milk is made in a factory by adding chocolate to milk and I say chocolate milk comes from brown cows you're educating them and I'm saying something silly. The idea that chocolate milk comes from brown cows is inferior to a correct understanding of how chocolate milk is made.

For what it's worth, many of the lefties on here would be willing to tell you everything Obama's done wrong. Not all of them, but many.

I have a dentist's appointment in a bit over an hour and that'll likely help, but I don't like going to a dentist so that doesn't make make me feel better. Plus, I need to take these smelly antibiotics before I go there... I don't normally mind taking any pills, I'm so used to it, but these ones smell so bad.

But well, it's a tooth problem, so in a sense the blame is probably on me anyway. I should just have strict meal times and not eat snacks.

My feelings against Trump do not have much to do with my feelings towards conservatives. I didn’t feel such feelings against Reagan, etc. I would have the same feelings if he were a SJW liberal.
