I'm one of those who replied in your bully thread, and offered a different perspective. Of course it's wrong (and your father was not nice), but I'm afraid it's just human nature. Everyone has to learn to fend for themselves and you can not control other people's thoughts and actions. If other people choose to be stupid or ignorant, as long as they didn't break laws there isn't much you can do about it. I stand by what I said in a previous post, you gotta change your perspective if you want any happiness. Don't be so obsessed about what's right or what's wrong. Suppose everyone in this forum agree with you and say you're right, so what? How does that affect your real life? If you just go to your dad and say "everyone online says I'm right and you're wrong", what will he say? Is he gonna change for good? I somehow doubt it.

Try to set your sight on what you REALLY want in life, and figure out what you need to get there. Don't waste too much time on things that will not help your progress. ( I'm not sure what you can practically achieve by focusing on what's right or wrong. ) If this forum is not helpful, go find a helpful one. Ignore those in your life who treat you badly and move on. The world is a big place and there are bound to be people out there who'll at least tolerate you.

If that then why i have not seen other being treated that way?Also sometimes i regret that i have not beaten the sh** out of some people.Also whatever i say i always have a logical answer and have a good conclusion.Like one day a girl said something to me and a guy started laughing with me.i never did anything to this guy,i never hurt him,never made anything to him or had nothing with him.It is just bigotry.Is this thing right?If it is not right then why did he did that?Also if bullies bully each other then this is something ridiculous because each other will make the other miserable and that is irrational,like sadomasochism.And why we say about morals and civil rights and all that things anyway?Or there is no such thing such as right or wrong and you believe in all this social darwinism bull****?The right and wrong affects me(and the world in general)because if the treat me badly,which may be wrong,then i became miserable.The thing is the people who do all these things are they really happy?I don't think so.

I feel the same now about WP except I don't want to die over it. I just feel like I can't be bothered to talk to a bunch of people who seem to think that they are superior to others. I feel ret*d when I come on here now, when I first came on it was very supportive. I'll probably bow out soon too and go to my Tourettes community for friendly chats.

I think this thread highlights the need for aspies of different functioning levels to have their own forums and threads.

I feel that the cool smart ass wordsmith aspies, are creating an environment that is unsupportive and unfriendly for less fortunate WP members.

Humour and subtle in jokes are difficult to understand.
Creating intelligently worded banter is out of reach and enviable
Men and women are forming relationships that can be heartbreaking for lonely and less compatible members who struggle more to meet another.

Many sources of pain are here in WP forums for some members. We should consider what can be practically done for those less fortunate than ourselves.

A lot of people here don't feel listened to. A message board is like an ordinary conversation. If someone on here puts in too much of their own opinion and doesn't take in another's it's like shouting at someone or speaking over them. That's what some people do.

please to not say "we", because i am "me", and the O.P is upset and i can not help him, but i think you have no right tell other people to go away from W.P because you are not an authority on AS as far as i can see.

even if you were.....well you are not, so i will not bother thinking through that scenario.

As for some of the other stuff I have read here, I understand the desire to help, but others must be allowed their dignity. I don't agree with Aspie segregation.

I know, as a fact, I'm not savvy. What can I do? I try. I also try not to put out too much of my opinion, but often I feel like I'm holding back too. I have a right (as others do) to be heard.

I will not tolerate cruelty towards anyone. I have called on it before and I will do it again. Please keep words civil towards others because words can hurt as much as physical strikes.

keep in mind that this thread wasn't moved into the Haven until page 2. all of the posts prior to that were made in General Autism Discussion and people are not expected to tiptoe as much in that forum. so when you are looking at the early thread posts in the context of the Haven, it looks quite different from how it looked in GAD.

i actually moved the thread over here to try to get some kinder support as the OP stated he is depressed, and people have definitely been kinder to him since i moved it.

Is their any thing that can be done to help this situation?

I dont think throwing us in all together is the reverse of segregation, but just an attitude of the site.

I think the administration on WP could do better to minimise harm.

Rather that letting things just run all the time, correct interventionary action taken by moderators and site social engineers can help many members, who are less fortunate....

We can and we do help.
However for that to happen the person that felt threatened/attacked has to contact someone from the mod team and provide them of evidence of said attack.
We arent sure if this member wants to report his attackers or he would rather try to talk things with them...and we dont usually intervene unless its a clear attack that has been done and reported repeatedly and we are sure that it isnt welcome(on which case we also send lovely warnings to the attackers)

I understand the systems in place for bullying.

I'm saying they are not inclusive of dealing with OTHER harmful conditions

Affecting those less fortunate here on WP.

That in itself does not sound very thoughtful, kind, or well planned....

But more of a bad design feature and/or an offhand disregard for the suffering of those affected negatively by their WP experience...

There are times when OPs have felt attacked by other members and asked for people to avoid turning against them and you´d see that in those cases we pay a closer attention to anything that may be perceived as an attack and we try to talk things with both parties as soon as possible.

Having said that again OP would have had to ask for a mod to keep an eye on this thread and to get rid of all unsupportive responses.
