Believe me I know what its like to believe that there is nothing that is good about you. the best thig to have in a situation like this is friends. This forum is doing that in part, because it allows all of us to show our support, but its not the same as real people. Iknow Aspies have social troubles, so just try to find a small group of people with similar interests. Take me for example. I LOVE to read fantasy fiction. First time I tried to play dungeons and dragons, I made more friends in an hour of beating up plagechanged zombies than a month in school. :D

What do you like to do?

That's just the thing there is not much I really like to do, but I am usually open to ideas.........I just don't seem to have a lot of motivation and I never seem to really enjoy anything as much as I would like to.

This is a question I've asked myself many many times. Between being under or un-employed, not having a relationship that extends beyond "lets hang out", and math trying to kill me in my sleep.. The thing is, I always come to the same conclusion, I'm better than everyone else, so why should I be the one to leave when?

It doesn't matter if you're good or not, just find a way to pass the time. Reading and watching movies are always good for a couple of hours. I just keep passing the hours. Life is like a jail sentence; it's not meant to be meaningful, you just have to serve your time.

Well sitting around alone reading or watching movies would just depress me..........besides I cannot even enjoy reading anymore.

That's not a very healthy-looking perspective to have.

Not going to off myself yet ... my mother took care of me when I was a child and I'll take care of her until she dies.

Sweetleaf, I've said it before and I'm going to say it again - please try anti-depressants. One experience is not enough to discount all of the available medications. If you can find the means to see a psychiatrist, do it. Weed is great, but there are other things out there as well. Use every means you have to keep going.

i don't want anymore anti-depressants.........not to mention to even have that option I would have to get on disability. All I am interested in right now is trying to find some part time work just to have a bit of income I don't even care if there are health benefits or not

Precisely.

And in so doing, it makes you a unique person.

I haven't, personally, met more than 2 women in my entire 27 year life, who liked a band like Black Sabbath enough to actually use a song title and verse of lyrics on a forum.

So beyond the two obvious guesses, whats your favorite Black Sabbath Song? Album? How do you feel about the Ronnie James Dio period?

Neither are desirable. Passing the time idlely(?) just makes things worse.

Favorite song would either be Sweet leaf or Hand of Doom.........and Dio is pretty awesome but I prefer the Ozzy years when it comes to Sabbath. I actually saw Dio in the last Heaven & Hell tour before he died.

SweetLeaf, you will never stop being depressed if you don't allow yourself to stop. You are not allowing yourself to be anything other than sad. Look at your avatar for god sake.

If money were not an issue, if no one would judge you, What would you be doing right now (besides suicide or self flagellation)

If I've learned one thing in these past few months it is that negative emotions are (at least to those who suffer from depression) quite literally poison. Anger, jealousy, Arrogance, hate, despair. They all have negative effects on your life. You have to find a way to leave them behind, so that you can look at the world and see it for what it IS instead of What You Believe It To Be
