Basically, FB is for the open-minded individuals who class themselves worthier than everyone else to keep up with the latest nonsense convo or local crowd gossip.
I m fully aware of the implications that arise to forming a social networking account but it is a good idea if you desire to get a business off of the ground instead of looking in the yellow pages or phone book you might be able to get access to the persons site updates. I know I do for the info as much as I require the input. There's loads of ways face book can be used for a utility tool as much as seeing what people have gotten up to all those years gone passed.

If you leave Facebook, first check your "other" box for messages you may have missed. The "other" box has not been properly advertised, and when I realised it exists I found in it a message I had missed for a year, from a very welcome old contact with far more in common now we know about aspies than we had ever realised 30 years ago.

While angry with Facebook over the "other" box system, it also underlines the importance of never leaving Facebook. Where would either of us be now if either of us had left before I saw the message?

I seldom use Facebook, except to use it to login to other sites I sometimes visit. I could never see the value of social networking. As a matter of fact, I only signed up for Facebook, as well as LinkedIn as an employment resource before I was diagnosed. Even when I was still actively looking for work, I could never figure out why my applications were never responded to. I've rewritten my resume, cover letter and thank you letter so many times it's not funny. Now the current trend is personal branding, whatever in the bloody hell that is. Judge me on my experience and what I can do, not on how well I can schmooze or play political games.

I primarily use fb and twitter to stalk ppl and talk to some of my friends occasionally and i only use it 1 hour max a day so I'm mostly indifferent about it. On the other hand when a cute girl posts beach photos :D

FB is honestly how I keep in touch with lots of people. I don't use it every day, but sometimes I use it a lot depending on my mood. I like it because I can "socialize" with friends without having to actually go out and hang out when I don't feel like face to face stuff. I sometimes comment on people's stuff, but mostly I don't. It just depends. I kind of enjoy it. I like it better than MySpace, for sure.

I have a Facebook. I let it sit unattended for about year before logging on again recently. I just use it to look at what some relatives and church members are doing. No one really has time to talk to me there anyway.

Weird things happen like friends of people with the same name as me try to make friend requests.
