Are you ?

If not what do you think the difference is between you (Beirut) and Joe90 (London)?

Nobody can really put you at ease about the whole war break-out situation because quite frankly nobody knows what's going to happen. I'm worried about it too.

Either way, it's important to remember that if it happens we're all going to be effected by it so worrying about it won't achieve anything, you're better off not worrying for your own mental benefit. Also, bare in mind the mainstream media is very anti-Trump and will do just about anything to feed in to the fear of his detractors. Even if that means greatly sensationalising a story. Our fear is a selling point and right now, they're selling stories like hot cakes.

It's not Syria I'm afraid of, it's Russia.

But saying 'you can't do anything about it so stop worrying' is like going to a funeral full of grieving people and saying 'stop crying, everybody, you can't do anything about it, your loved one is dead, crying won't bring them back.'

I keep getting bad stomach cramps over the panic of this, no matter how hard I try not to think about it.

Can you see your GP and get a few days of Valium to help you out of a pickle

This would likely be more easily accessible and provide immediate relief:

Good idea.
But I do have Avomine tablets I get over the counter from the pharmacy. They are supposed to be for travel sickness, but the side effects are drowsiness. When I take one, it makes me relax physically and emotionally, and makes me sleep for hours. I think they affect me severely like this because I'm taking Sertraline.

Oh, and before anyone asks why I'm getting so anxious over a war if I'm on Sertraline, let me just explain. My anxiety is a disorder, and you can't cure a disorder. It helps more with self-esteem issues and depression.

I'm not saying you shouldn't worry about it, it's just that you shouldn't let this fear consume you. Even if it was to happen, what could any of us do to stop it? Nothing. There's no evidence to support the possibility of war despite exaggerated media reports from the likes of clickbait websites à la The Express and The Daily Star. The western world is very liberal today, I mean, Trump with all his power hasn't even visited the UK since becoming president because of student protests. It's highly unlikely we'll have to enlist and start food rationing.

I hope you start feeling better soon, OP.

Why would you consume other prescription medications with a long list of negative side effects and not this natural one with very few side effects & none serious? :?

Please keep discussions about the use of illegal drugs in the Adult Forum.

Thanks.

Um, Ok? It's not illegal. It's prescribed by doctors coast to coast & in many other countries. Just because it didn't come out of a lab doesn't mean it isn't medicine.

It's still illegal in many places.

Alex just prefers for discussions surrounding things like drugs, sex, ect. stay in the Adult Forum for legal reasons.

Thanks.

Putin can't strike London without killing thousands of Russians. Not just any Russians but the wives and children of his supporters, the ones who have become rich with him. London is their playground. It would also kill large numbers from every other country including China. There's also the little matter of all the Russian money that passes through London, and I'm not talking about the shopping, I mean the City. There's no advantage to Russia of a war with the UK or anyone else but Russian leaders have to look tough or they loose credibility within Russia, so he's bound to through a few threats around.

Honestly, my first reaction when i saw this thread and the its replies was : 'Another First world problems'. Sorry, i know this is the haven but this thread made me laugh out loud. If there's anyone on WP who should really be constantly anxious of war it is me.

Now, let's be factual: The missile strike was not a war declaration, Putin saw it as a "insult" (aww) but he didn't state that it was an act of war. The whole world knew beforehand when and which targets are gonna be targeted by missiles.

If Trump really wanted to hurt the Syrian regime he wouldn't have warned them through his tweets for days by saying how soon will it be and which target locations he will blow up, you don't inform an enemy where you are gonna strike beforehand. And again, Syria has no capabilities to reach the US nor UK.

it was just an opportunity to do a showcase to sellers for a new type of missile, which was used in the strike + getting a good image.

That what was all about.
It's not a bad distraction from problems at home for all of them. Deflection, I think it's called. Joe90 is suffering from anxiety, we in the UK (with our first world problems) are not worried about bombs, no body has even mentioned them to me. House prices on the other hand.

Just for future reference:

Is that where we’re supposed to discuss any other prescription medications just in case they’re not prescribed everywhere that the internet is available?

Many thanks in advance. :)

I'm sorry, I thought that was a picture of a cigarette, and I am a strong anti-smoker. But I don't want to smoke anything. I'd take it if it were in (legal and prescribed) pills but I don't wish to smoke it.
