The basement idea your Dad has sounds great!

I know it seems like forever until you can move out, but you absolutely need to finish highschool!

What happened to the locksmithing idea? Maybe you need to ask your Dad to commit to a certain amount of hours every week teaching you the skills.

I know you have long-term goals - moving to Spokane and having your own locksmith business.

To reach these long-term goals you need to focus on what you can do in the short-term to achieve these goals: finish highschool, learning skills off your Dad, getting business management skills.

Maybe you could write a list of your long-term goals with smaller steps of how to achieve these goals. Stick it on the wall of your bedroom and look at the list anytime you feel down.

By the way - here's a hug and kiss - Hug, Hug, Kiss, Kiss

Your friend
Helen

thanks all :P

Nice to hear things are fine.

I'm not anyone to give any advise as I am in a different situation that might be worse, but I'm glad the problem is kinda solved. It seems you have a good future ahead.

solution
I go back to school ASAP
a full time job would be nice but the longer I put this off the harder it will become!
I need to do this...perhaps I'll make some friends I can move in with
even if not-I'll have my basement home
(and can lie and say I rent ) tee hee
