I have found the opposite. As a woman, I'm supposed to know all these subtle social signals, pick up on hints and atmospheres, be soft and gentle.

I don't do any of that, therefore I'm labelled as rude, blunt, insensitive, and given a wide berth, even though I have the best of intentions.
