Sadly, I could never be a vegetarian because the only vegetables I like are cooked broccoli and raw carrots...and potatoes, but it's not like they're very healthy. I'm such an unhealthy eater because of my pickiness. :(

The only vegetables I eat are raw carrots, Iceburg lettuce, cucumbers, and fresh corn-on-the-cob. Not a whole lot there either.....

I'll eat romaine lettuce if it's slathered in salad dressing. Corn-on-the-cob is alright if it's slathered in butter, but I hate how it gets stuck in my teeth.

That's such an odd activity, in my opinion. But I know I'll never be attending such an event...I'd probably have to bust my eardrums to not go insane from the slurping.

I have a 50% hearing loss, or I have 50% of full hearing (glass half empty or half full). :P I can hear enough that I know I am not hearing everything. It kinda sucks not being able to hear, so I don't think that people eating is enough reason to want to be deaf. It is gross, but, I just look down at my plate and turn off my hearing aids. Though, I miss out on the dinner time conversation, but oh well. I don't talk much in person. Loosing my voice is one thing I could stand to lose. :P

I just wish that my hearing wasn't so super-sensitive. It's not so much that I want to be deaf, I just wish that I had 'normal' hearing and no sensory issues.

I come from a family of Aspies and/or near Aspies. But none of them have the sensory problems that I do. So they have some similar problems to me, but have no understanding of my biggest problem.

my family are idiots
they don't understand anything and refuse to learn
they expect me to get better

That really sucks. If they really loved you they'd want to learn and help you be able to deal with who you are, not expect you to 'get better'. Sure, you'll learn coping skills as you get older, but you'll still be an Aspie at the root of everything.

That's quite unfortunate. :(
That's how I feel about my in-laws...and my mom.
