When I was working as a volunteer at a cd-rental I sometimes went home with my colleagues. I am still fond of the talks we had on the music compared to the tastes of single malts (and sometimes cheeses).

Pity I am bad at keeping contact - he has a kid now...

I know. It's a shame that so many people claim to have a deep love for music when they are just fake fans.

I wouldn't want to call anyone fake, just unknowing... there is so much music to be found and loved, someone who just follows one thing is only binding him/herself. And ofcourse so much wisdom to find in it, though also a lot of fake wisdom.

Fake wisdom generally sounds more like wisdom than wisdom does...
