I will join with the other illustrious posters on this thread. I've been banned from two forums. One the mod. used too many socks and I confronted on it. The other... was full of idiots.

Most of that was the reaction to the second joke, the rick-roll to FBI (where they overreacted to my link). But yeah they (many of them) are as*holes, the other links I posted about them jumping on other people kind've showed that.

TOTSE.com is a nice place to go then, it's not authoritarian; VERY libertarian and hard to get banned from. Often if you get banned from there (rarely permaban, most of the time temp bans of a few days at most) the admins shorten the length of the ban or reverse it if you ask them; especially as 1 mod has a reputation for being heavy handed and pissing off the entire forum.

and yes I feel similar sometimes about 'getting a life' and not being invested in the internet so much...well Im getting there. Though my friends tend to be internet nerds and we discuss the new fads and the like...

it's a site like rorta or corrupt.org basically.

it's a site that expouses freedom of speech and all types of information, it was started back in the 1980s and was a hacker bbs (among the other fringers of the time), currently the main site is basically a library of textfiles on all sorts of things, from outdated hacking techniques on phones, to UFO/Area 51/etc files about the Paranormal, some Sci-fi stuff, to copies of some of Abbie Hoffman's books, to instructions on how to make bombs (unsure if good or not), etc.

The Forum is similar, you can discuss ANYTHING. and I mean ANYTHING. Free Speech is protected here. Basically a place of freedom and information, arguably you can call it an "underground board".

I'm registered there as "Star Wars Fan" in case anyone is wondering.

He doesn't support pedophilia. He said he didn't have a problem with the lady letting them look down her shirt. What he said was misunderstood by the other people basically. I can't speak for him but I'm pretty sure that's what he said, the other people accused him of supporting pedophilia for saying that.

EDIT: He was telling them to think about it in more than black and white terms, which they couldn't, and this country has a thing called freedom of speech. Punishing someone for saying something is a little ridiculous. I'd hate to think we are turning into the thought police here.

Got a few 24 hour - week long bands from IGN for a few instances of requesting magazine scans and joining in on the "exuberance" surrounding major game releases and E3 events.

Got a 3 year ban on Plentyoffish for posting IM logs in my topic, even though the names were censored. Well actually I did it twice because the first time the topic went missing, I didn't know it was actually deleted cause I never got warned for it.

Had to make a new account with a user name I don't really like, but at least it's not similar to TheBladeRoden, so no one has been the wiser yet. April 2009 doesn't seem so far away anymore.

I don't know you'd have to ask him about that signature. I think he put it because they accused him of supporting pedophilia and I don't think he was serious.

But the fact that you disagree with him does not mean he should be banned from a forum regardless. You can't ban someone for saying something that you don't agree with. I didn't bring this up to have an argument about this. Please take it up with him, I can't argue for him and I won't. But I don't think you are reading anything that he said I think you are being judgmental and I strongly disagree with what you said about how he shouldn't have been surprised about being banned. You don't seem to be getting my point here.

I didn't say anything about my opinion on the matter so y are attempting to argue with me about it? In fact, I told him I didn't know if I agreed with him earlier.

If he is not serious about the signature line then why write that? Aspies are not good at presenting sarcasm, people frequently think we are being serious when we are trying to be sarcastic, and vice versa. When I saw his post I thought he was being serious. Why would a person put that in their sig line, a highly controversial and inflaming statement? I dont know what he thinks either but I cant blame the other people on the board for being angry at him if he put that up there.

That (the "I support pedophilia" sig) was something the admin put on as a troll/being a douchebag when he banned me. And that's the first banning. Most of that (all my quotes from other people and most of the links and the like) is for the second banning when I reregistered a few years later and tricked them into searching child porn on the FBI's Webserver.

And no I don't. Then again my internet browsing history is more tending towards the "Fringe" sites, etc.

EDIT: note he f****d with my old email addy and placed it in "location"

That's my FBI redirection, with a different sock account! (in an unrelated note, they do find out or at least suspect Im the same guy due to one of the IPs I used with both accounts being the same, and similar names ("Warsie" is a term for a Star Wars Fan, more used in the Star Trek vs Star Wars argument community)

Actually...I was just answering the OP's question and also saying "Hey! You didn't do too bad, look at me"

Combined with admittedly bragging about what I did. even though it was accidental (as in didnt expect people to act as they did to the tinyurls)

Well yeah but she/he basically didn't read all of what you posted and I hate that.... I was annoyed that she/he just judged you like that when you were trying to make me feel better, and thanks by the way. Everyone has helped.
