I hope this is just a cry for attention/help on your part, Tim, because the alternative is too awful to even think about.

My friend wants absolutely nothing to do with me now, and I did nothing to deserve this.

True, but you have other friends. Just look through this thread.

But I get attached to people very easily, and get devastated when I feel that they don't want me around anymore.

Been there, done that.

I still get attached to people far too easily, but I've learned to let go when they don't want me around anymore. It still hurts like hell, but I somehow manage to get over it more quickly. I usually try to distract myself as much as possible rather than dwell on it. It's not easy, particularly when you only have one or a few friends at any given time. I've also learned to be a bit more discerning about who I make friends with in the first place. Again, easier said than done.

Hang in there. You have friends here.

But I want one friend to be a single, female Aspie who is liberal and likes the Simpsons and South Park.

Well, keep looking. She's out there somewhere. And who knows, maybe somewhere along the way you'll find someone else you'll like even better. Or maybe not. The point is: don't give up hope.

Everybody else on here tells me that that type of person doesn't exist.

If there was a way to meet female Aspie with the same interests and beliefs offline, then maybe I wouldn't be on the computer as much.

South Park is the only way I ca find someone who is liberal without them thinking I just want sex.

In Texas, being liberal means doing the opposite of what the Bible says.

I'm with Tim on this one -- it is harder to meet someone offline than online. Aspie = poor social skills. We usually can communicate much better through correspondence than in person.

However, Tim, I think they're right about you needing to take a break. You don't need to find someone right this minute! Do something you enjoy. Try not to think about this for a bit.

But since the type of person is nearly impossible to find, I feel that I have to stand by and wait for someone with those qualities to make her presence known, and find her before someone else snatches her up.

Guess I can't argue with that one.
