This is just a minor hiccup that can be corrected with prayer.

Wish me luck.
Thanks MG.

Can you get a new replacement soon?

I'm sure I can order a repeat of the same ones if I want to fork out the very expensive cost.

Ideally I want an even stronger prescription but I won't be able to do that yet. I believe they're closed for Covid, and I was
waiting until autumn for a new exam. That's when my insurance renews and I won't have to pay out of pocket for a new pair.

I'm a loser, literally. I lose several things a day because of executive dysfunction. I'm so scattered my life feels like a joke, even when I'm on ADHD meds.

Why do you have to pay for something like that? That sounds unfair.

I lose stuff all the time. I lost my main pair of car keys last December and have been having to use my spare keys since so please don’t feel alone in that way. :(

Went back to -10. I wish I had a girlfriend to cuddle with after work.

-20 I am having horrifying images playing in my mind against my will. It’s like having a nightmare while I am awake. What the hell is happening to me?!? Why does my mind hate me so much? Why can’t I stop it?

I drove around again but didn't find them. I have to pay for them ... because they're my glasses? I'm covered for a certain amount of expense every two years, but this is six months early. It will cost me out of pocket. I don't have a spare pair with the same prescription and frames. All my older glasses like the ones I'm wearing now are weaker in strength, and give me headaches. I can't wait six months.

They're not able to pro-rate it are they? (like say make you pay a quarter because you're 6 months out of 24 too early)

My glasses have been repeatedly repaired with crazy glue because I can't afford new ones. :nerdy:

Please hear me out. I didn’t mean to come off like it was your fault you have to pay for them. If anything, it sounds unfair you have to because it is a issue based on need.

-10 I am scared to sleep tonight since I am having nightmares while I am awake and they could be worse when I finally close my eyes. It just makes me wish more and more I had a loving girlfriend to be by my side.

:). My brother is very skilled in glasses repair so I've never had to do crazy glue, but I don't blame you. I'd do the same if I didn't have his help. It's definitely insane how expensive glasses are, plus the eye exams. The price of my lost pair is close to my monthly mortgage payment. 8O I wasn't even covered for their full price on insurance when I bought them. They only paid about 50%. Plus I'm not keen on having an exam now and using their eye testers, or trying on glasses that other people have touched, because of Covid. The whole thing totally sucks.

I'll talk to the eye doctor and to insurance asap. I don't know of any warranty or anything like that, but it would be great if there were some type of protection plan.

@Marknis - I know you weren't blaming me. :P No problem. Sorry you had a crap day too. I've had wacky nightmares lately as well so I can empathise with that.

Current ranking on how I feel is -7. At least I got to listen to a good playlist. Twice.

Ah, I've had a prescription for ages and we have a photocopy of it because I lose things like a drunk 7 year old at a birthday party with nothing but ballpits.

Why are you having nightmares? Thank you. Partly why I want a girlfriend so much is because the other side of my bed won’t be empty anymore and I wouldn’t have any nightmares to worry about. I really want this summer should the speed dating event happen to be the turning point I’ve been hoping for.

:P

That sounds fun. I think I have my prescription as well, but I need the PD number (a top secret number they keep on file which measures how far apart your pupils are, so that you can't go elsewhere without paying for another exam / measurement). I'm sure I could get the same glasses from my normal doctor by phoning in. But if I'm going to pay that much now, I might as well update my prescription instead of in the fall. Which involves being the ball in the ball pit -- because I'm such a glutton for punishment. 8)

-10 No work today but I am practically broke and lonely. If I had a girlfriend, I would be able to manage but I don’t. :(
