The problem with cliques is that they tend to attack individuals AS A GROUP and cancel ppl who have a different opinions.



I'm not one of those.
I think the main problem is some women complaining about men complaining about not having a girl woman friend.
The problem is that some women misrepresent men and call them "misogynists" when they are simply venting.

I am not saying there aren't men who act badly at times.
There are misogynists, but there aren't that many these days.
The problem was VERY bad before I went to L&D to get away from the obscene behaviour in PPR.
But this was years ago.



I also said that ppl should report misogynous posts.
As I mentioned, there ARE "White Knights" around.



Well, I don't use the report button.
The last time it was more a joke than anything else.
I have probably only used the report function a handful of times in the 10 years I have been here.
I don't have a great deal of faith in the judgement at times.
It isn't my thing.

I don't see you as a white knight.
I see you as a good man who is loyal to his friends and will protect them.
Skunks can be that way too.

The thing is a lot of people think they're white knights but they're really just manipulating people for their personal information especially as it pertains to vulnerability. Then they can use that information against the person. I don't mean on WP necessarily, but everywhere. We should all be cautious of people who want to save us especially if they don't respect boundaries or if they show any red flags.

Some 'white knights' aren't like this ^ and they might try their best, but it's usually done just to pump up their own ego even if there's no malicious intent.

I only know one person on this forum who has the qualities of a true white knight, although admittedly I haven't spoken to everyone at length. That one person does not befriend people to pump up their ego but rather to give genuine support in constructive ways.

Just a reminder that women can be 'white knights' too because the term is gender-neutral.

I have been trying to explain this also, but with no success.

Whoever is going to try to white knight my skunk should know that he's already taken and has everything he can ask for. He's also very loyal, long list but he tops it by far.

People can try, of course, but they will have to get used to losing. As he's made it clear there's only one spot in his heart and it's mine.

I will back up his beliefs and protect him on whatever issues he tells me about, given they are reasonable and don't harm him.

If anyone dares white knight me, they must be asking for certain death. The skunk will use his stench gland against them. And he'll do it willfully.

It’s perfectly okay and reasonable to disagree about stuff in a relationship. You probably aren’t going to share the same opinion about everything. Being respectful and open about your differences is what’s important. Communication is key, I think.

I'm not in the white knight business. As you know lots of people approach me for support for themselves and others, but I always say with regrets that I don't have the spoons to overextend myself with new friends. I'm too busy with my own trauma to get invested in other people's trauma, and it wouldn't be fair to any of us.

It's weird because some people assume I'm a free therapist anyway, but that's based on groundless speculation.

The heart is a wonderful organ to listen to, but so is the brain.

For years I was under the impression I was supporting YOU when you were hounded out of WP and into AutismForum because you supported slyfox.
