But at least that scene makes you feel kind of hopeful for the guy and his mother in the end.

That's why I love this show. The episodes alway deal with very sad situations but they make you feel that there is hope.

yes, hope is the very reason why i'm a believer because if I did not believe, I would have absolutely no hope.
