Hiya Cockney Rebel!

Very happy to read you're staying, I'm not into the Kinks either, but if they make you feel the same way geology and trilobites make me feel, then I hope you never stop enjoying them, and to h*ll with what anyone may say to the contrary!! I'm a bit of a sporadic visitor to WP, but I have to say i've seen a lot of your post and have enjoyed all of them.

In all honesty there's not a single person here who's posts I have not enjoyed reading. It makes me sad to see other aspies be so down on themselves, there's enough people in this world willing to hurt our feelings without us then berating ourselves!

Hey Tim Tex, you probably don't know me, but I do remember reading that you like geography and studied geology, so there's more to you than politics and religion, you should let us know why you like geography, I'm interested. :)

Or even start a geology/geography thread, I know I'd be all over that!! ! I could post you piccies of my trilobite collection (and then I'll never shut up!)

Not to hold any grudge, or to dwell on the incident, but I wonder if the message would have even been sent, if one of the thinner and less innocent of The Kinks were one of the favourites that I looked to, instead of sweet, chubby innocent Mick. Ray, Pete or Dave. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What's happened is water under the bridge. However, with the way that society works, with the notion that thin is in, and sex is good for you, I wonder if she was actually giving me flack, just because I happen to like the sad, sweet chubby one, instead of the three thin, happy-go-lucky ones of the original line-up of The Kinks. As I said, this isn't to hold any grudges, or to dwell on it. It's more of a question of how society works, and if the sender was more of society's expectations than I am.

Maybe they are upset because Sid the Rat, is no more. Before, he was loved. Appearing in tens of thousands of posts, nationwide. He was everything you stood for and there was nothing wrong, with that. But now, now where is poor Sid? His proud Cockney accent no longer echoes, throughout the hallways.

Please, please, please keep posting about the Kinks! I like the Kinks a lot. I'm so happy you're staying! I always enjoy reading your posts (even though I never reply to them). I always enjoy reading your updated info (rank, location, and icon) every time I log into WP! You always bring good company, I really think so. :sunny: :heart:

She didn't mean to sound harsh. She came to me complaining actually because of the response you sent to her and she felt bad and didn't mean to upset you. But you two sorted that out. She just wanted to give you her view on limited interests.

I've been slammed to death by people here but you have to look on the up side. From how I see it you're one of the more accepted and liked members of the majority of people here.

I think everybody here gets a rude or upsetting message once in a while (I know I did), just don't let it get to you.

You're an unusual and lovely person and so fresh after all the boring people I meet IRL lately! :)

You seem okay to me. We have nothing in common other than AS but you can post about the Kinks all you want and it won't bother me any. I'm not into that genre of music at all but you probably don't like my music either. Makes no difference to me.
