Wow, even when she modelled, she was 131Ibs. Yet these days, the trend is for female models to be a USA size 0.

Weight isn't neccesarily a good indicator in isolation. Going off weight alone, someone like Arnold Schwarzenneger, say, would probably be considered overweight for his height even when he was at his peak fitness. When you excercise a lot, even if your muscles don't grow bigger, they often tend to grow in density and muscle weight is a lot heavier than fat.

For instance I am about 6-7lbs overweight at the moment at 12.5 stone yet a few years ago, when I was quite into weight training, I was at the same weight yet perfectly healthy (body fat percentage at around 10% lowest). In between then and now I went through a long period of illness and forced inactivity which caused some muscle atrophy and gain in fat.

Most muscle builders are considered overweight if one goes by BMI.

A size 0 is abnormal. Have you seen those girls, Graelwyn? They make me shiver. They are probably not menstruating, and they are going to develop heart conditions, and a whole slew of other unhealthy diseases, and some will die from it.

Starbuline, I think, mentioned it. Have you been assessed for Body Dysmorphic Disorder? I don't think anyone here can help you feel better, or you help yourself, if you have this. It's a form of obsessive/compulsive disorder, and I hope you consider help.

Take care, Graelwyn,

Rjaye

Yes, listen to Rjaye. It was me who linked to the body dysmorphia site. It's not your pictures that worry me, it's your words - your assertions that you still want to lose 14 (!) pounds, that you constantly look in the mirror, that you look in the mirror and see fat, that you have a history of eating disorders.

You make look good to some of the people here, but you're not feeling good about your body, and that's the part you need help with. I wish you luck in getting that help.

That's your opinion. Her body is her own, and if she feels healthy, I don't see what
the problem is.

No, but then I also have other health issues including an underactive thyroid gland and mild CPD.
My mental health is definitely worrysome though...this obsession. I still eat ok but it is the total focus on how much my bones do or do not show, which is eating disorder related OCD.

My signature at one point read: "Mental health is just as important as physical health".
I hope you can get help and support for the mental stuff.

Graelwyn - have you ever thought of attending Overeaters Anonymous? They offer support for all sorts of eating disorder and body dysmorphic issues - not just compulsive overeating. It may be helpful to you. I went there for help with emotional eating and found it helpful.

Yes, thank you, Aylissa, and Janicka, too.

You have been in pain for a while now, Graelwyn. I think the weight is something your mind latched onto, and it's like a perseveration, but it's hurting you. You deserve to feel good about yourself, and about your life. You have so much to offer.

Please continue to let us know how you're doing, and I send positive energy your way.

Metta and karuna, Rjaye.
