Why exactly? And have you actually gone and practiced shooting it?

I'm with Sweetleaf on this aspect of gun ownership.

This is just one great big "WTF?"

There's a reason why our laws here dictate that guns need to have trigger locks on them, then be locked inside a safe, and ammo locked up separately.

Leaving loaded guns around is how accidents happen. Someone picks up that gun and all of the sudden they've shot themselves or someone else. You never intended for that to happen, but that's how accidents with firearms happen.. irresponsible owners leaving them laying around loaded & ready to fire. That's terribly irresponsible IMO.

Like guns. Own guns. Shoot guns. etc. Just be responsible about it - not like this.

I don’t have kids nor friends. I’m the only one ever in my room. So how is thst irresponsible. What good is a f N if it’s locked up and ammo separate, but yiu don’t have the right to defend yourself I. Canada, doing so gets you locked up just like uk, your suppos romjust die then the police will try to catch the murder, in the us we can defend our selfs
Over 8 years and not a single accident. I’ve had various loaded guns in my room. Millions and millions of people have loaded guns in their homes and never have issue. If I had kids I’d keep it in a quick access safe loaded, but I dont. Very one I know would check a gun if they touch it. Basic safety, pick it up, drop mag, pull slide back to see if it’s loaded. I’m not irresponsible you just don’t get it. Loaded guns don’t just go off. Someone has to pull the trigger. You could throw it around the room and it won’t go off. Modern guns are very safe. It’s irresponsible people who’d just pick a gun up in a strangers bedroom and point it at themselves and pull the trigger with out checking it. But why are they digging around in someone’s private bedroom, why are they in my house to begin with. Nope doesn’t happen. I feel sorry for Canadian gun owners, quite a few move to the USA to escape and get freedom. Though it might surprise you the so called assault weapons are legal in Canada, heck you all can even have short barrel rifles and shotguns. Canadians get the true cz58 rifle , yiu also got USA made and paid for “weapons of war” that we lent to Korea. I do have to say it was rather cool how your gun owners told the government freak off and beat registration of guns.

Thanks. Back to topic. I haven’t messaged the guy since. I dont know if I will. I wish I could figure out how to make actual friends. I’m very lonely.

Did he say, specifically, that you shouldn’t have guns?

My gut tells me that I wish you weren’t living in such fear. Do you have good locks for your doors?

I would invest in decent locks.

I’m upset that you’re living in such fear.
