I got told that it was "probably my fault that Damien has autism" (an ex said that right before he dumped me)

Been called anorexic when I am not :x

Lots of stuff my sister has said to me, I haven't spoken to her for over a year because of it. She made me feel like the worst mother alive!

That is I can remember at the moment.

My ex did something worse to me than words could ever do.

I asked him as he was on his way out the door for the very last time if he cheated on me because I am "ugly".
(I was running out of reasons he could have done it)
He didn't answer and i didn't see him again

Precipitating his departure he would frequently tell me that "I would be better off dead" "Sincerely I feel that you would be doing everyone a favour"

I once thought I was a fool for living with him for four years but now I know I just lacked the willpower to leave him first.

I like the old adage "Sticks and stones can break my bones but words won't ever hurt me"

Another small thing thats important to remember, is that the human mind has an infallible way of remembering the negative comments (perceived or otherwise) and forgetting the positive.

I've overheard in a random discussion that my parents were having with my brother that 'We don't want you to turn out like Katie.'

That really hurt at the time. They could have only meant one thing, of course. My AS.

"You're so full of s**t, your eyes are brown."

That's what my father told me once simply because I was beating him at Trivial Pursuit (I was 10 at the time). Sounds so stupid and cliched now, but god did it hurt.

During an inspection in boot camp, when the whole company had assembled, the officer doing the inspection stopped in front of me and asked my lieutenant why I was standing there "like a sandwich".

And a co-worker once implied that I "switch myself off" every morning when I go to work. It was on the tip of my tongue to reply, "I don't switch myself off, I'm always this boring!"

My nickname in school was Penner, which is German for "bum".

i was ranting to my younger sister about stuff and i was really intense about it, she got so annoyed and called me autistic get over yourself, this was before i knew about AS. i got so angry i slammed the door loudly.

my other sister likes to make comments on people's appearances, whenever she would say the word "ugly" she'd face me as if implying i'm the ugly one even if she's talking about someone else

a classmate i came across while walking to class was with her g/f, she introduced me then commented i was a nerd.i could've smacked her face off, but i remained calm but it was hurtful.

Dragonboy, they're a waste of space if all they can think of to do while occupying space is telling people they're a waste of space.

As an adolescent I was told by both my parents that I was hopeless. I really didn't need to know or be told that,

Useless.

That one always gets me, and I've even taken it on due to people saying it to me so much, so when I'm feeling down due to being unable to talk to people, stand around people, make a sandwich, etcetera, I start calling myself such.

Funnily enough, I don't see anyone as useless, not even the dead; I like the dead, they don't call me names.
