Have you thought of joining a message board for South Park fans? There must be one somewhere. And maybe you should downgrade from looking for someone who is aspie, to someone who is "aspie compatible."

How will I know that she won't mistreat me like my first girlfriend did?

You don't. But then you don't know that she will, either. If you don't try, you'll never know.

"Faint heart never won fair lady."

Life isn't safe. Never has been. And love isn't easy. Never has been.

Just keep trying.

I can't even keep a friendship alive for more than a year. How can I keep a relationship with someone going?

have you tried a social skills program?

try meeting people in places centered around a specific interest. try finding weird people hangouts, like renasaince fairs, mental health dropin centers, senior centers,
aspies do better with them than the general population.

I don't know where "weird" people hang out. And the nearest Renassance Fair is over 100 miles away, actually closer to Houston, and it's between late September-mid November, and if I have a lot of studying to do, I am SOL.

It took some digging, but I finally found a list of student organizations at Texas State University.

https://sa.txstate.edu/studentorgs/public/org_directory.asp

If you leave the first two fields as is, and select registered for the third field you get a list of all registered organizations. I noticed they have a geology club.

San Marcos doesn't look like the most exciting place on earth -- how far away are Austin & San Antonio?

San Marcos is 50 miles from both cities.

That doesn't sound too bad. They're both big places. Do you have transportation to get there on weekends?

People tell me to wait until I finish college before I look for somebody. But I am worried that by then, the world will run out of the type of people I am looking for, if it hasn't run out already.

Maybe not wait to look, but once you've graduated you can move to someplace that's more likely to have the type of person you're looking for.

In the meantime, do you have transportation to get to San Antonio or Austin on the weekends?

Cool! Then get on the 'net and see if there are any clubs or organizations in those cities that interest you. There's got to be something in places that big.

Tim threatening to hurt yourself accomplishes nothing, it just makes you look bad, don't you know that people here like you and respect you. I use to hurt myself to get attention, it didn't work, my ex wife actually handed me an aluminum frying pan to hit myself with, I am glad it wasn't the cast iron one, since the aluminum one was hard enough. That was the way my Ex told me she had enough of my belly aching and cry's for attention, it didn't work for her and its not going to work for you or anyone. You are defiantly caught in a loop, with your perfect women illusion, you need to break away from these thoughts, and get away from that bloody computer, and f***ing chill out, get a beer, get a 6 pack, and go sit outside. Sorry for swearing but its what I tell myself if I am on here to much.

not everyone does things because they are an attention-whore. the whole people-only-hurt-themselves-for-attention thing is nonsense. some people do, some people don't.

i think many aspies who say they are going to hurt themselves are not "threatening" but expressing a real concern.

so please be careful because that attitude seems to essentially be calling someone a liar, and saying their reality is completely invalid. and even though i agree Tim's reality is not TRUE, because of course there are conservative people who watch south park, and the world is not going to suddenly run out of women-- i do not think he is a LIAR, just confused about things.

Excess me guy or girl eating a teddy bear, you completely missed the point of what I said. Tim needs some answers, not a bunch of pointless and meaningless platitudes. In my experience people who commit suicide don't tell anyone, people who do talk, want help. I like Tim and I don't want to see him like this, he needs to get off the computer and chill out, because it's not healthy for him.
