Maybe this can be a new sticky - because I just thought of it and it seems like a good idea to me.

How about you say 5 positive things that you would LIKE to be able to say about yourself - and then you set about trying to make them come true in baby steps - and report back here now and again to say how you're getting on.

We can encourage each other and give pats on the back for efforts made.

I want to be able to say:

1. I cooked a fab meal for someone and I enjoyed doing it
2. I have learned to speak a little bit of Italian
3. I made somone laugh today (this will be a tough one for me - help may be needed)
4. I did something to improve my house/garden this week
5. I asked someone for help instead of struggling on my own

Hope this will help me and others - What do you think?

I think this is a good but different idea. Why don't you open a new subject ?

Example: I have amazing creativity! :D

If you want a challenge, try to think of 5 positive things. :)

This thread may or may not help you with your self esteem, but I think it's worth trying anyway.

I've finally been able to actually write some fiction! It's probably not very good but I don't care! I managed to write something and I'm proud of myself that I did it!

And now to paint all these warhammer 40k models lying around me in my bedroom! 8O

Positive things about myself are.......um.......mm.......oh - that I'm sweet-natured. Then again, having my sweet nature results in people sh*****g on me. (In other words, taking advantage of my good nature)

Nope - everything positive about me ends up as a negative.

Also I'm acedemically behind. The only positive thing about me is I'm good at spelling.

Well.....it's something. Ain't it.....?

Sure. I can't say so about mine, at least in English :)

A positive thing about myself?
I can speak and write more or less in a foreign language and sometimes, my English is even fluent.
