I remember when I was in med tech school in san Antonio [TX] at Fort Sam, we had a cadaver in the lab who was named "herbie" - he was lying in a tub of formaldehyde and was missing his face. we students were at once gawking at him as well as plugging our noses to the stench of the formaldehyde.

I used to work part time at a funeral home when I was 19 and I saw dead bodies in caskets quite often.

Dead people don't scare me. It's living people that can hurt you. Dead people only hurt people in horror movies. :skull:

my dad way back in the 40s was an undertaker's apprentice, and he could tell you some stories..... :skull: :eew:

My partner used to work at the cemetery and one day when I was out there he pointed out the meat ants, coming out of the holes they'd made down into the freshly dug graves, carrying little chunks of "meat".
The image has never left me.
I'd never thought about being carried off like that after death.

No. Way. Really? How? OMG.

I know. It blew me away too.
I'm not sure if this happens everywhere, we have some extremely rabid ants in Australia.

I was invited to go to Australia next September. My reluctance is because of the insects and I heard a rumour that earthworms can be six feet long. Please tell me that's not true. :bounce:
