6. The day's been pretty good, now that school's over (for today. It's not completely over until next Thursday). I got a lot of compliments today on my skirt and my hair, and I actually like the new style I've got it in - more comfortable, and it does look all right - so I think I'll stick with it for awhile. I'm going shopping for shorts in a bit. (I haven't worn shorts in two years, but it's so hot this summer that I'm giving in.) I feel fat today, for whatever reason, but I just checked and I actually lost four pounds in the past two weeks. Must be the heat. But hey, I'm not complaining about that.

I am tired though, which is odd, considering I got my normal amount of sleep last night.

Tired. Sweaty and woke in an angry mood and feel fat tonight.

-3. Hanging out with my friends now makes me feel even lonelier. Those guys are unattractive losers who sit on their asses playing video games all day, and even they have girlfriends! I'm starting to get pissed off a little bit! This just isn't logical!

+8 Spent the evening digging in the sand by the river with my little George. Watching trains, airplines, sailboats, barges. Feeding amaranth crackers to a coy mallard. We're on the same wavelength tonight--quiet, content, and observant. It was positively idyllic.
