I know. I started to post how I love the song, but realized how horrible that could sound. I like the rawness of the emotion, but not the action.

Brenda Spencer [the shooter] is likely better off dying in prison.

I love the song too. I don't think it sounds horrible, but I understand how you feel. :(

Yeah I saw an episode about the incident on Deadly Women which inspired the song. A girl named Brenda Spencer shot up a schoolyard in the 1970's

To think that school shootings have become so frequent here in the U.S. that they're actually thinking about arming the teachers with guns. Really what the f**k kind of crazy country are we living in? :|

It's not as safe as it should be in some of our schools either. Some areas are gangsta zones...while others are pretty safe and that's also reflected in the matric results at the end of the day.

It sure would be unthinkable if our teachers were equipped with firearms! In our day they were sometimes equipped with canes though...

Sounds a lot like American schools. I wish we could be more like Japan where all students wear uniforms and recieve a better education. They don't worry about things like drugs being sold in the school restrooms, teenage girls getting knocked up, and certainly not kids bringing guns to school to shoot up everybody.

We still have uniforms at both private and government schools.

It's better that way so you don't get rich showoff kids with designer clothes hitting on poorer kids who can't wear something new every day.

I think in my country only the private schools like Catholic schools get uniforms.

I fully support uniforms because of what you said.

^ yes

i only went to public schools without uniforms except for sports. after jr. high the dress codes were pretty much completely unenforced.

i think the students here would stage a coup if they were made to wear uniforms. that all seems so alien to me.

did someone change the thread title? i can't tell.

You'd probably pass out from pain before you got to your heart and wake in hospital feeling like a dick.
