7. We are at a fevered pitch here. The defense attourney tried to offer a deal to release the prosecutors friend from jail in return for charges being dropped, but the prosecutor wanted to throw the accused in jail for six months, which was roughly the amount of time the friend was in jail. This is cold, hard retrobution; the prosecutor fully intends on redeeming his name after being forced through a shedload of adapting to a rapidly changing climate where he was entirely alone; the idea of the friend being thrown in jail was also partially to destroy the person who is now prosecuting, who was seen as a third wheel for quite some time, but has proven shockingly resiliant, and is now attempting to regain a position of former glory. The trial is coming soon, and my head is buzzing with a combination of excitement and terror. This is multi-personality living at it's finest!

But didn't the defence attorney get shot last night? Didn't you read/watch the news???????????????????????

0. The proceedings inside my head were a bit of a let down. I expected better of the defense attourney, but I don't think there was much to be done in an open and shut case. The prosecutor spent most of the time preparing for all possible retorts, and as such, wasn't shocked or really defied by anything. By the time the rebuttals to the opening statements were over, it was done. At the last minute, a plea bargain was made. The prosecutor's friend was released immediately, and the defendant was sentenced to jail until at least December 31, and a possibility of parole until May 31, at which point he will be released regardless. The defense attourney lost a friend and a key ally in one fell swoop, and was visibly devastated. The prosecutor was beyond thrilled. Makeshift political alliances were formed in order to keep the defense attourney from being forced to do something irrational in order to survive. It was exciting, but I expected better.

don't know, there are a lot of things that make me happy, like my london-trip is booked (it's so long that i wanted to visit london, it's like a dream come true- now longing for the 11th of august...),
i also managed to burn my Ubuntu-CD, not far from linux-world now :D :D :D

and with a new computer i can't complain of course, but it bothers me, especially Vista, i feel like i need to study to find all these automatic things to turn off, it even connects to the internet without me knowing (probably on the neighbour's wifi).

so cooking-point is near, maybe calmly find out where i can have an XP-version instead (still need windows -for the moment?-) , might help, don't know... (circle closed)

I'm about a 5 right now. A shower and the knowledge that someone who pushed me and my friend around is getting what she deserves has me in a good mood now :)
