Don't point out errors that they made. They prefer to go around and continue to make those errors.

Don't read a book in their presence. They take it as an insult. How DARE you find some stupid book more entertaining than them!?

Don't stay in your bedroom when there are guests at the house, even if they are not your guests.

Don't express a refreshingly positive point of view when everyone else is complaining about something.

Example:
NT1: Ohh, I work four days in a row this week!
NT2: Oh, that's terrible! My boss called me in to work today because the other employee is sick. :x
Me: I actually prefer more hours at work. Then at least I'll recieve a larger paycheck! :D
NT1 and NT2: ... ... ... Whatever, shut up.

I think that perhaps you might be generalizing your experiences with a few extroverts to the entirety of the NT kingdom.

That may be possible. But then again, it must've a LOT of extroverts that I've experienced, then.

No doubt there are lots of them out there to experience, and many of them tend to assume their personality embodies the norm.

Well, today I did this on purpose. I saw this scary looking guy approaching the bench where I was sitting, at the bus stop. I got out my book and started reading, praying that he wouldn't talk to me. What he did, was start eating some smelly fried food out of a bag. He kept looking over at me. I ignored him. Then he started drumming his fingers on the back of the bench, while singing out loud! This was so incredibly distracting and annoying, that I put my book away. Then, he started talking to me anyway. He only got monosyllables out of me. :x

These two are very true! I find it very hard to just stand by when people are saying something factually incorrect, but they never appreciate being corrected.

And some people will happily stare at a tv screen while you're there, but if you start to read a book then it's a green flag for them to start talking to you for no reason.

I realize it is much different when you are a woman. I never have to worry about dealing with beings, who are driven by high testosterone, hitting on me because it feels good to look at me. I use that technique to make myself become simi invisible frequently. I guy can usually get away with that.

I have problems with seeing huge differences in what others see as very minor. Its hard for me to just let things go but when their misrepresentation does not impact their main point, I'll often let it go rather than risk having them get upset with me for interrupting their train of thought.

As far as errors in things a person is doing, instead of pointing out that he is doing something wrong, I try to just show how to do it right and explain why that way is better. If after that if he continues to do it wrong, then that's his business.

This one even puzzles me. I am guessing its an extrovert thing. If I am reading in their presence it must imply to them that I am bored so they must need to try to improve on that by speaking to me. I have discovered from my wife that some think it rude if you are in one's presence and don't try to converse with them. This would certainly never have occurred to me.

For those who are convinced that NTs tend to be non-caring creeps, I invite you to check out this thread on another forum: http://infp.globalchatter.com/messagebo ... c&start=60

Not all NTs are alike.

I seem to attract strange people like that, even with my "get the #$@! ! away from me" look. It's like I've got an invisible sign on my that say, "All creeps and potential axe murders, come tell me your life stories!" 8O

71. Do not talk about anything deeper than hair colour or the latest Hollywood gossip. (There's absolutly nothing about the universe worth knowing apperently.)

72. Never miss a social occation. If it's a party nearby, anyone with alcohol is invited. You too. Infact it's your duty to go, the fact noone told you is not an argument the next day.

73. Never appear pay attention to a "lower ranked" person.

74. Do not point out details above "it's a car... like totaly infront of you". Paying attention and charing information is not welcome.

75. Always avoid to have "strage" friends.

(These are all in the category How to look NT, if you are like me and don't give a rats ass, you just do as you want to. :D)

My wife and I call this attribute in ourselves, "Being a Nut Magnet". We think we must have an invisible to most, sign on each of our foreheads that says, "All ye of crazy mentality, come unto me, and I will give you rest" or something. Someone once told me that I feel very safe to people. A woman on an ENFP forum once told me that she was like a butterfly that flits here and flits there, and when she lands on me, her feet feel rested.

I was about to say that I'm glad I don't live in your environment. People like that grate very deeply on my nerves.
