Are you certain about that? It's impossible to be certain about anything and everything; but I'd bet that Sol will be there for you tomorrow..., since she was there yesterday.

That sucks. :(

Sure does, especially since I waited over a year to hear from her again.

I know that you're hurting right now and feel really betrayed. I'm going through the same thing at the moment. Just remember though that you're really emotional right now and that can lead to black and white thinking. You will feel better as time passes.

You're about to go off to college, isn't that what you said? Trust me, college is the best place for you to meet someone who has the same interests and beliefs you do.

I could imagine an NT doing this to me, but never in my wildest dreams did I think another Aspie would do me like that. I even overlooked the fact that she was 9 years younger than me, despite my preference for women closer to my age. I am 27 and she is 18.

There are no Aspie women within 50 miles of my school, or even within 200 miles.

maybe she rushed into something and made a stupid decision to try and get out of it
18 year old girls aren't the most mature people out there remember
but I'm so sorry to hear about what happened :(

How will I meet another Aspie closer to my age (late 20s or early 30s) with the same interests and beliefs?

Aspies can lie and be crappy people, just like NTs can be honest and be good people.

Tim, focus on College, make that your passion right now. Who knows who you'll meet. But if you look around your classes you will see plenty of women with your interests. Also look into College clubs that spark your interest, there you may find someone. I know it's hard, but you don't need to be ending your life over it. You took a risk, thats what we all do in relationships, but you took an even bigger one, in that you fell hard for an 18 year old. Most are not ready for a life time committment. And I did say MOST, some are, most are not. Hang in there, you'll find her, and hopefully, she'll live closer.

I can't stop thinking about her, and I don't purposely seek out people that young. The nearest AS support group to Wichita Falls is in Fort Worth, 115 miles away.

Despite this, I still feel that I can only date other Aspies.

Tim_Tex, I remember saying and honestly believing the very thing you are saying. But you will get over this.

I also overlooked that she and I weren't even the same religion (a boundary I wouldn't normally cross), in addition to her being 10 years younger.

At the time, I felt like I had to "take what I could get".
