Global attitudes are shifting on the completely failed prohibition of marijuana.

Prohibition of any substance is a complete failure when a government tries to force it on its citizens, but it doesn't need to fail at all when parents impose it on their children, particularly when all they have to do is to refuse to pay for it. Therefore, it makes perfect sense for the site to forbid discussion of those substances outside the "Adult" forum, so the rest of the forums remain usable to children whose parents don't want them exposed to such knowledge.

Are you ?

If not what do you think the difference is between you (Beirut) and Joe90 (London)?

I don't think any Londanian ever experienced that post WW2.

Do you think because you have grown up constantly with the chance of a bomb falling on your head you have had a long time to process it and it is just part of your daily life therefore you have had exposure therapy in a way ?

Of course, how else do you think people who live in war zones go on in their lives?

I've read that the suicide rate in London fell dramatically during the Blitz and throughout the war.

^ Not sure of that, but I heard the suicide rate is increasing in Syria, especially among children less than 6 years old.

Like them though, I was also born in the war.

The short 2006 war brought back hidden old memories of the civil war.

I will try to find which book I read about it in (I have quite a few). Perhaps the difference in reaction is down to whether you feel a problem has some kind of time limit to it. As bad as the Blitz was, daily life continued around it.

South East Asian countries are not immigration countries. These are already overpopulated nations, they don't need external main-d'oeuvre.

In my opinion, only an employment opportunity determines where and when one can move.

And that's extremely difficult, especially if you don't know the target country's language.
